Born in Flint, Michigan, one of the top selling urban fiction author of New York Times, Ashley Antoinette is most popularly known for her relationship (working and personal) with JaQuavis Coleman. She usually writes with him, sharing the common name of “Ashley & JaQuavis”. They were discovered at the early age of 17 by the famous writer Carl Weber and have not stopped their writing career since then.
Writing Career
Ashley Antoinette is the only author of the famous Prada Plan series, while they co-author “Murderville” and “The Cartel” (New York Times bestselling) series, in addition to many other short stories and standalone titles together. Ashley Antoinette made her first appearance as a debutant, becoming a published writer in 2009 with the “Diary of a Street Diva” – a book again co-authored with JaQuavis.
Natives of Detroits Mean streets, the couple is married and has already written over 30 books together. Ebony magazine named them “one of the most influential couples of 2013”, while their net income is believed to be approximating 4.3 million.
Ashley Antoinette is a very popular author for Vh1, entering the Television network with her “Single Ladies” novellas series. She is also the author of the world-famous novel series “The Prada Plan”. The latest book (Prada Plan 4) of the series is sold on stores since June 24, 2014.
The long list of bestselling novels of Ashley and JaQuavis, written both together and separately, grabbed the attention of Ronald “Slim” and Bryan “Baby” Williams (probably the world’s most famous Hip Hop moguls), and this is how the YMCMB Records/Cash Money hit-making label, home to the super stars Drake, Nicki Minaj, and Lil Wayne was created. The couple signed a very money-spinning publishing deal with the Cash Money Content books during 2010 and is still writing for Cash Money Records.

“The Cartel”
The Cartel is a family with unbreakable bonds that deals with drugs and violence. Carter Diamond – one of the main characters in the book, is the cruelest gangster among the Cartel. Living in Miami, Florida, he is familiar with the crimes that run rapidly around his life, but there is one thing that is most precious to him – Carter is determined to keep his relatives and family save and away from any crimes or harm. Despite the fact that he knows all he’s doing is risky, he doesn’t get stopped by anything standing on his way, so he can keep his family away from the Haitans who constantly make threats to destroy his entire life. Carter is married and has a baby daughter and two twin boys who want nothing else but to model their prosperous Father. However, he lets them know that all this lavishness, fame and money come in their family at a steep price. Unfortunately, Carter’s life is suddenly cut short because he is shot dead and only his children can carry on with his inheritance.
Carter Diamond leaves behind an illegitimate son who looks just like him, not only in facial features, but also his Father’s reputation. There is one problem however – Carter Diamond does not want to do anything with his Father. To the extent that he is concerned, he was alone growing up and his Father was never there, hence he doesn’t own him any favor. Nevertheless, when he finds that his family is in indescribable trouble, he forgets the past and gives his best to heal the wounds. His brothers and sister go through a hard time getting used to him, but eventually start modeling his behavior. Meanwhile, Miamor (a woman who uses her beauty to develop her skills as a contract killer) is going out on a man-hunt after her sister dies from the hands of a Cartel member. Conversely though, she gets easily attracted to Carter junior who does not know anything about her dark past. This is a Family collision over secrets, violence and crimes series, mafia-style book about caring for the ones you love.
“The Prada Plan”
Disaya – a 6-year old girl in her tender age, also known in the series as Yaya, practically learns the class of fashion design and the significance of living with a plan in life, not just an ordinary strategy to live, but a Prada Plan. A tragedy shakes Yaya’s world when her beloved parents are eliminated (the mother is killed, the father sent to jail), and she is all of a sudden forced to forget her life of being the center jewel in her parents’ hearts. Yaya is instantaneously defaulted to becoming a foster child. There, she gets nightly molested by the son of her foster Mother. Being raped at the innocent age of 7, the only hope and spirit she has left is her new sister companion Mona and the memory of her Mother’s voice.
Together with Mona they leave the house of despair and then the story of the book fast forwards to their early life at age 21. The duo is at last living a fairly stable life of freedom; at the same time however, Yaya has not yet attained her child dream – The Prada Plan. While persistence is a great asset in her life, Yaya is not embarrassed to confess that she’s just a Rocawear chick and will jump great heights to become famous as a high fashion expert.
Following the same life steps her Mother followed (becoming a prostitute) and having absolutely stunning beauty, it is not hard for to Yaya to begin selling herself to the highest paid, elite people. Once introduced to Leah, Yaya starts participating in same sex adventures and the whole thing in-between. A businesses relationship and a friendship turn into an obsession, as the heroin struggles in her attempt to stop the bizarre behavior of Leah and put an end a hoeing life, after meeting Indie and falling in love –the only person in the novel who can fulfill The Prada Plan. Leah’s mania for Yaya is far from physical; it is a mental evil dependency that she will endure any obstacle with the sole purpose of hurting Yaya and everybody else in her life.

I just finished reading Guilty Gucci and what comes after it there a part 2. I stumble on your books when I read Butterfly and now I have been going backwards reading all your books. There are so many books that you just left us hanging thinking what’s next. Also please can you have more of your books available in Canada. I have been having a hard time buying them. I can’t find Butterfly 4 anywhere up here please help!
