Author Ashley Munoz lives in the Pacific Northwest, where she lives with her husband and her four kids. She loves reading fantasy, coffee, and writing about people that cuss and kiss.

Ashley gets inspired to write through her love of reading. She really loves reading books that she is able to picture herself in, and that make her laugh. After she read a group of insanely good novels, mainly from Mariana Zapata, she wondered if she could actually write one herself.

When Ashley has writer’s block she will take a drive and listen to music. Nine times out of ten the music is able to spark some idea or creative scene inside her head and she will have to pull over and jot it on down.

She loves the rush of release when she is able to get everything from her heart and her head down and into the story.

Ashley got the idea for “Glimmer” while she was on vacation with her family. Her husband was driving and there was this guy on a motorcycle was behind them, swerving from lane to lane. He was going about eighty miles an hour on the freeway, like it was nothing.

The dude was not wearing a helmet, had lowered both of his feet from the footbar and continued tailing Ashley and her husband, even though they were not in the fast lane and there was four other lanes for him to be in. The guy frustrated Ashley, and suddenly she saw the scene for Ramsey and Jimmy in her mind and began writing it down on her hone, and did not stop for the following six months.

“Wild Card” is the first novel in the “Rake Forge University” series and was released in the year 2021. The game has got rules for a reason. This was it, Mallory Shaw could see it in her editor’s eyes, as it was the last straw. Another misstep and she would lose her coveted internship.

Mallory decided right there in her room, those lime-flavored tortilla chips in hand, that she’d do whatever it took to write the story of the century. And Mallory even had her target in her sights: the undefeated Devils’ baseball team. They were RFU royalty, and totally untouchable. Their parties were absolutely impossible to get into unless you had been handpicked. And Mallory was not. Even still, she had a solid plan. She would not get caught, definitely not seduced, and certainly would not die.

That is until she got stopped and was rendered fully speechless by a pair of mossy eyes. Decker “Duggar” James lured her in, close enough to feel the press of his mouth against her skin and the heat of his hands upon her body. Undoubtedly, she was a sheep that was headed right for the slaughter, which just proved true once he called her bluff. With him holding all of the cards for her future success, and in order to salvage what was remaining of her dream. She did the one and only thing she was able to. Mallory made a deal with a devil.

Readers found this to be the angstiest and steamiest book that Ashley’s written and they were hooked on every single word she had for them. From the sweet moments to the jaw dropping moments and everything in between.

“King of Hearts” is the second novel in the “Rake Forge University” series and was released in the year 2021. Reminders were for traitors. Taylor’s dad would whisper that in her ear when she was younger, as the still smoking gun dangled by his side. Taylor understood all the rules, and what was actually expected of her, even while her mom made the deal.

Taylor had the full freedom to do whatever she pleased, as long as she obeyed: return to his home at the age of twenty-one, do not make him come looking, and don’t do anything to jeopardize her impending union with Markos Marino.

Now, just months away from her twenty-first birthday, and she is not just running short on time and creative ways to avoid her upcoming, marriage, but she also has a small situation that she is unable to hide. It is one that will certainly come with a reminder, because in this arrangement, she has not been loyal. And she most definitely has not followed the rules.

Juan and Taylor have intense chemistry, and are scorching hot through the book. There is a lot packed into this one: forced roomies, twists you don’t see coming, suspense, enemies to lovers, and is both sweet and sexy.

“The Joker” is the third novel in the “Rake Forge University” series and was released in the year 2022. Kyle James cashed in Rylie’s V card and then vanished like she was the finishing act in some magic show.

Rylie vowed to hate her best friend, turn the secret obsession and longing with him to toxic hate and possibly a poorly selected tattoo. However while the years continued passing, she let go of any notions that she would ever see him again, until he sauntered on campus her senior year as a new transfer student.

Everybody in Rake Forge was obsessed with his inked skin and that darkness which seemed to seep out of every methodical step that he took. Rylie wasn’t though. She knew the boy that was underneath, and even though she wanted to know where he had been, she’d never actually ask. Until her father needed a favor. His team required a way in with her former best friend, and some of his contacts.

She knew that Kyle would see through all of it, however she went anyway. All of a sudden, her world, made of black and white was bleeding color, and he was right at the center, daring her to trust him. Her heart, both foolish and blind decided to trust him but also to love him as well. She should have really known better. She was just a way in for her dad, and for the guy she loved, she was only a way out.
