Barbara Park was one of the noteworthy authors from America who has a number of highly successful books based on the children’s book genre. She is particularly well known for writing down the Junie B. Jones series, which consists of more than 25 books in total. Author Barbara was born on April 21, 1947, in Mount Holly, New Jersey, United States. Her death occurred at the age of 66 on November 15, 2013, in Scottsdale, Arizona, United States. Author Barbara was born as the daughter of a secretary and a merchant named Brooke and Doris Tidswell. She spent most of her growing years in the Mount Holly Township in New Jersey. Between the years 1965 and 1967, she attended the Rider College and later, graduated with a BS degree in the year 1969 from the Alabama University. Barbara was married to Richard A. Park and used to live in Phoenix, Arizona. Her family comprised of her husband a couple of sons named David and Steven, with whom she lived for around 30 years in Arizona.

Almost all the books in the series had become successful after their publication and this helped author Barbara to sell more than 55 million printed copies, just in North America alone. Author Barbara used to believe that she arrived at the profession of writing through a different route. Her initial intention before becoming an author was to become a high school teacher of political science and history. She had even obtained her secondary education degree and had almost become a teacher. But, at the very last moment she changed her mind and started writing books for children. However, she faced a number of rejections in the beginning before going on to establish herself as a noteworthy novelist of her favorite genre.

After the death of author Barbara, her family looks after the functioning of the organization.

The initial book in this series was published under the title ‘Junie B. Jones and the Stupid Smelly Bus’. It was released by the Random House publishers in the year 1992. Author Barbara has set the main story of the book in the United States. The book serves to be the first chapter in the New York Times bestselling series. In a very less time it went on to become a classroom favorite and since then, it has been keeping the children reading and laughing. The book has already sold over 60 million copies and has recently been republished in a new look for the new generation. At the beginning of the central plot of the book, Junie B. Jones is introduced as a funny Kindergartner. She is depicted as going to school for the first time and does not seem to have any knowledge of what it is going to be like. But, she carefully observes the other kids who appear to be quite scared to go to school. Seeing them, she also begins to feel scared and hesitates get on board the school bus. The next installment in the Junie B. Jones series written by author Barbara Park was released under the title ‘Junie B. Jones and a Little Monkey Business’. This book was also published by the Random House Books and takes place in the United States once again. At the start of the story of the second book of the series, it is shown that Junie B. Jones has got a new born little brother and becomes very happy to play with as well as take care of him. Soon, she realizes that her cute and dumb little brother can help her get fatter deals. As a result, the two of the best friends of Junie B. Jones agree to give her all that she demands for getting a chance of seeing her little brother. After seeing the benefits from the deals, Junie Jones decides to take her small brother to her school on the occasion of Pet Day. She thinks that just like best friends other kids in her school will also wish to see and play her brother. This way, she can make them also give her whatever she demands for letting them see her brother. Just like the previous novel of the series, this novel too became very much successful and helped author to focus on the next books in the series. Eventually, she kept entertaining the kids with the release of each of her books and thereby, went on to write and publish 28 books in the series in total.
