It has been a year since Charli skipped town without letting her family or boyfriend know where she was going. Now, she wants to go back home to Honeysuckle Hollow and enjoy some compassionate company and her Nana’s sweet team. Charli plans to keep a low profile until word gets out that she is back home. While she doesn’t expect a smooth homecoming, this young lady hopes that she can get a day or two to enjoy her family’s company.

Unfortunately, Charlie discovers her great uncle’s body on her first night home, which throws her right into the limelight. Because of her ability to find lost things, Charlie offers to help the detective investigating her uncle’s death and uncover the mystery. Within no time, she is at the center of a mystery that will shake the Honeysuckle community to the core. The paranormal citizens in this small town are in danger, and when Charlie discovers that there is a death curse on her head, she has to move fast to save her own life. As this case unfolds, a wolf-shifter captivates Charlie’s attention and awakens her wild side. Can this young lady unravel the mystery and save herself and her friends will all the distractions around her?

Charlie is a daring lady, and it is fun following her in her adventures. Her gang of friends that includes witches, gnomes, fairies, vampires, and trolls, help her in her endeavors but she will be doing the bulk of the work as far as keeping her hometown protected is concerned. All characters are lovable, and it is fantastic that so much is going on in this book, so it is impossible to get bored while reading. The small-town setting makes the story even more captivating. It is funny that Charlie thought that she could sneak in unnoticed in a town where everyone knows each other’s business. Everything else right to the flow is just perfect, and you will not want to take a break until you have read this story to the end.

Moonshine & Magic is a well-paced and engaging read. There is some paranormal element in the story, but that is not the main focus. Most of the story is about Charlie’s crazy uncle’s death and the mystery behind it. You will also be getting deep into Charlie’s world with all its chaos and diverse characters. The story is clean and wholesome, and you will enjoy meeting all the magic creatures on every page. This is an excellent start to a series that promises to be outstanding if the author maintains the pace.

Flea Market Magic
Flea Market Magic comes first in the Southern Relics series. The book stars Rub Mae Jewell, otherwise know as Rue, to family and friends. Rue lives in Jewell, a small town on the Crystal Coast. While this town has no traffic lights or stop signs, it is filled with magic. Rue runs her family’s antique business with the help of her father, a ghost that has refused to move on, and her uncle. In addition to turning old objects into valuable antiques, Rue and her family are always on the lookout for magical things that often find themselves in human hands. It is not unusual for them to discover something more than cobwebs and dust in their collection pieces.

The beautiful antiques the family collects are sold to the public. However, any magical item is kept from human hands. Rue’s vampire boyfriend helps in such instances, but no one would have anticipated that someone would die on Rue’s property because of a magical item. When shopping in a flea market, Rue and her uncle purchase a soul-draining crystal ball from a woman. The woman’s grandson attempts to take it back, but Rue will not let him. Imagine her shock when the young man turns up dead, and Rue’s uncle is listed among the prime suspects. The family has to find the person who committed this crime before more harm befalls them.

Rue is one stubborn young lady. Some of her rash decisions will make you mad but behind them is a caring heart that will do everything possible to protect those she loves. Will Rue’s powers and fiery personality help unravel the mysterious death? Could it be that the crystal had something to do with the young man’s death? It is fun meeting Rue’s family of withes, her vampire boyfriend, and their magical friends. You will enjoy a few chuckles thanks to Rue’s careless mistakes and stay engrossed to the last page. The author allows you into her internal conflicts, so it is easy to see why Rue acts the way she does. Her family’s dynamics are also interesting, not to mention the fascinating storyline and solid plot.

Flea Market Magic is a fast-paced mystery filled with feisty, unique, and magical personalities. Set in North Carolina, this story comes with a good dose of Southern charm. The mystery will keep you in suspense until the end when the killer is revealed. Twists and turns are in plenty and will throw you off guard a few times. The cast is also exciting, and the author has done an outstanding job of developing the characters. This book is perfect if you want to get lost in the world of fantasy with a light-hearted read.

   Recently discovered Flea Market magic and have just fallen in love with this series of stories! Between Ruby Mae and Charlie I have definitely stayed busy reading lately! 📚 I’m eager to see what mystery finds both ladies next!

   Hi, I’m really enjoying reading about Charlie, Mason, Dash and the others. When will book 8, Gifts and Ghosts be available. I went to download and it wasn’t there 😲 Looking forward to reading more.
