Belle Calhoune is a Romance, fiction, and Spirituality author born in Quincy, Massachusetts. She writes inspirational romance novels set in small towns. She married her college lover and became the mother of two girls.

She’s one of the five siblings who grew up across the street, and a public library helped her become a great reader, which later inspired her to become a romance author. Her hobbies include traveling, reading, and spending time with friends and family.

Belle is a member of Romance Writers of America. Her Book, An Alaskan Christmas, has been adapted into a television movie by Brain Power Studios.

The Way Home
The Way Home is the first novel in Seven Brides, Seven Brothers series. Alec and Maggie Donahue are a lovely Irish couple living in Breeze Point, Cape Cod, and adopted seven boys from foster care. They listened to the voice of God and not only adopted one foster child but seven.

The boys are all grown and trying to find their way in the world with different professions while still hoping to find someone to love for the rest of their lives. They were lucky to have been raised in a Christian home with unconditional love, faith, and guidance.

Blue Donahue is an internationally famous journalist and has come home to Breeze Point to celebrate his parent’s fortieth Wedding anniversary. His father develops a stroke during the celebrations, and Blue and his adopted brothers go into chaos.

The situation forces Blue to be entangled again with the woman he has never stopped loving after he left her stranded on the altar during their wedding day. When Blue meets Sarah face to face, he feels she is the love of his life as she awakens his heart to all the possibilities that are stretched out before. Sarah Dalton is an emergency room nurse and did think that his ex-fiancé’ would come crashing into her workplace.

Sarah and Blue have a traumatic, twisted, and tragic history that left them both broken, running from their past and hiding from the future, only existing one day at a time. Their relationship ended around four years ago after Blue showed up two hours late on their wedding day. Now she has no choice but to face the only man she ever loved at a time when he’s dealing with a family tragedy.

Sarah is overwhelmed once she sees Blue in the hospital, desperately seeking help. Helping the family deal with the crisis makes her realize that she has never stopped having feelings for him.

The whole series uncovers each of the seven brother’s past as they slowly fall in love while taking care of the old parents. Despite the pain in Sarah and Blue, the love they had for each other before is not yet over between them. They have to work through their feelings and disappointments.

Belle Calhoune did a fantastic job of blending Christianity and romance. For readers looking for novels about second chances at love, this’s an ideal read. The novel takes the reader through the heartbreaks and trials, showing how the path to the happily-ever-after isn’t easy.
