Ben M. Baglio is one of the renowned authors from The United States, who likes to write his books based on the children’s book genre. He has created the briefs for both of his successful children’s book series called Animal Ark and Dolphin Diaries. In the Dolphin Diaries, author Ben has described the story of a girl and her family, who live in Florida. They travel in many parts of the worlds and study the dolphins as marine biologists. In the Animal Ark series, author Ben has depicted the life story of two children who join hands and try to help the animals and solve the mysteries related to them. All the books in these two series were written by some commissioned writers under the instruction of author Ben in the United Kingdom. They were then released under the pseudonym of Lucy Daniels. On the copyright page of every book, author Ben has dedicated a Special Thanks. In the United States, the both the series are published under the original name of author Ben. This way, he has used his name as a collective pseudonym for all those writers who helped him to write the novels of the two series. Using his original name, author Ben has also written another book series called The Pet Finders Club. This series features a group of 3 children who engage themselves in searching the lost pets of people. Author Ben was born on January 1, 1960, in New York. He spent most of his time as a growing child in the Philadelphia suburbs. Author Ben completed his graduation from the Pennsylvania University, from where he obtained his degree in the subject of English literature. Initially, when author Ben began writing stories in the form of children’s books, he did not receive much success as a writer. But, as time passed by, he started getting recognized for his dedicated efforts and eventually he went on to establish himself as a noteworthy author of the genre.

As an author, Ben has worked both in England and the New York City. He has bought a house in England and currently lives there. Author Ben has introduced the title character in Dolphin Diaries in the form of Jody McGrath. She is a girl who is interested in studying about the behavior of dolphins. Jody McGrath comes across a Bottlenose Dolphin, befriends him and names him as Apollo. Jody helps Apollo to get united with his new pod and follows the two as the series progresses. During the course of the stories, Jody McGrath meets a number of other characters and becomes friends with numerous new dolphins and people. The other frequently recurring characters described in the series by author Ben include Cameron Tucker, Maddie, Brittany Pierce, Jimmy and Sean, who are the twin brothers of Maddie, Gina, Craig, and Captain Pierce. The Animal Ark series written by author Ben shows James Hunter and Mandy Hope in the lead roles. They are depicted as helping out the injured and helpless animals in all the books of the series. The parents of Mandy are named Emily and Adam, and they are described as vets. They prove to be of great help to her in helping out the needy animals. Mandy has 3 rabbits as pets and has named them Mopsy, Cottontail, and Flopsy. She is confident that she is going to become a vet so that she could help many other animals that she will come across. The other characters introduced by author Ben in the series include Simon, a nurse, and a receptionist named Jean Knox. During the course of the series, Mandy comes across many people who seem to a golden heart for animals and lovely them fondly. Whenever she is not busy with her mission, she likes to assist her parents in their work.

The Dolphin Diaries series written by Ben M. Baglio is comprised of a total of 12 books, which were released between the years 2000 and 2003. One of the books published in this series is titled as ‘Into the Blue’. The Scholastic publication released this book in the year 2000. At the start, Jody McGrath is depicted a being very delighted after realizing that her dreams are going to become true. She sails along with her family throughout the world in relation to her research work on dolphins. During her journey, Jody McGrath records all the exciting adventures and events in her dolphin diaries. Jody McGrath seems very much happy and excited that her dolphin voyage has finally started. She looks forward to seeing a whole new world to discover that lies ahead. But, Jody faces a threat from an unexpected and unknown passenger. Due to this unwanted interference, she begins to feel that her journey of a lifetime is going to get spoiled. Suddenly, a huge storm arises that puts the life of Jody McGrath in danger. She becomes very much desperate for help and hopes that someone would come and help her get out of the difficult situation. Jody McGrath wants to enjoy her trip peacefully and does not want any difficulties. But in order to do so, she has to get rid the difficulties as well as the unexpected passenger on her own.

The next book published in the exciting series is titled as ‘Touching the Waves’. It was also published in 2000 by the Scholastic Inc. The main characters described by author Ben in this book include Cameron Tucker, Jefferson Taylor, Jerry Rozakis, Craig McGrath, Harry Pierce, Lauren Rozakis, Jody McGrath, Mei Lin Zhong, Gina McGrath, Janet Davis, Brittany Pierce, and Alice Rozakis. At the beginning of this book, author Ben has shown that one more dream of Jody McGrath is about to come true. She travels to Key West, Florida along with her family member. There, she is expected to visit a special center of dolphins. Jody McGrath is accompanied by special dolphin researchers. During the course of her trip, Jody shows a keen interest in watching the dolphins showing their playful tricks. Suddenly, she comes across an incident in which one of the dolphins gets entangled in nets. Jody tries to help the dolphin come out of his misery so that she could take away good memories with her from the trip. The book was very well received by the readers as well as the critics, which helped it to become successful. Even author Ben received wide recognitions for developing such an interesting novel.
