An initial book of the series is entitled ‘His Secret Agenda’. This book was released by the Harlequin Superromance publication in the year 2009. Author Beth has mentioned the central characters in this book as Dean Garret and Allison Martin. At the start of the book’s story, it is shown that Dean Garret is on the verge of breaking the main rule of his undercover work. This is because of the arrival of a new boss in his department, who is very pretty like a professional cheerleader and has the heart of a do-gooder. After coming across this deadly combination, Dean Garret is not able to resist his growing feelings towards his new boss named Allison Martin. Faith Lewis wonders that if she could have someone like this man in her life, then she could taste the freedom that she always wished for, and also provide the kind of life for her son that he fully deserves. But, is she wants Nick to trust her, she will also have to tell him everything about her previous life. After knowing the truth about Faith’s past, it is now up to Nick Coletti to either protect her and her son, or turn her in for the crimes that has committed. Once again, author Beth has described the story with excellent characters and a strong storyline. This novel was also liked very much by the audience. The success spread far and wide, and helped the book become extremely successful. The success also added to the name and fame of author Beth greatly.
