Bill Kitson
Bill Kitson is a retired banker that was born in West Yorkshire. He is an avid fan of cryptic passwords and cricket. Bill’s also the chairman of the Scarborough Writers’ Circle.

He lives on the east coast of England, where his writing never stops. He can often be found on a Greek island, staring out to the sea, with his laptop to the ready.

Bill’s debut novel, called “Depth of Despair”, was released in the year 2009. His work is from the mystery genre. He also writes “The Greek Island Romances” along with several other titles, which are all independently published to support a Greek charity for disabled kids, ELEPAP. All of the royalties for these books get paid to the charity directly.

“Depth of Despair” is the first novel in the “DI Mike Nash” series and was released in the year 2009. Two skeletons are found from Lamentation Tarn, Mike Nash (a talented detective) and his team have very little evidence to work off of. Until this surprising discovery prompts them into contacting law enforcement agencies in Eastern Europe.

A joint task force is put together to uncover a criminal network that’s involved in drugs, prostitution, and human trafficking, however Nash’s preoccupation with internal politics, along with one attractive Russian detective, proves to be a distraction.

Finally, one young victim is able to escape from the clutches of the gang, giving Nash some much needed evidence. A search of the neighboring tarn yields additional corpses and reveals a much more heinous crime. Two more bloody encounters have to occur before the criminals can be brought to bitter justice.

“Chosen” is the second novel in the “DI Mike Nash” series and was released in the year 2010. When Sarah Kelly fails to come back after a night out, DI Mike Nash is only able to speculate about her whereabouts. Until a chance remark forces him to look deeper into some other cases of women that vanished without a trace.

Nash notices chilling similarities in the cases: no witnesses, no bodies, all disappearances get explained away. Nash, while he investigates apparently unlinked crimes, strives to come to grips with the psyche of a very strange serial killer. He must find a solution, and quickly, because two additional women up and disappear, making this personal and possibly fatal both for Nash as well as the women that were chosen.

“Minds That Hate” is the third novel in the “DI Mike Nash” series and was released in the year 2010. Gary Vickers killed his lover’s daughter. The evidence proving his guilt was overwhelming. He’s now due to get released from prison soon. Against all advice, he insists upon coming back to Helmsdale, where Detective Mike Nash has to protect him.

However Nash has got other, more pressing worries at the moment. With the extremist politicians provoking attacks on migrant workers and fanning racial hatred, Nash must prevent an explosive situation from boiling over into full civil unrest.

Should you protect somebody convicted of such an unspeakable crime? Nash’s tiny group of detectives doesn’t have much time to spare for convicted murderer Vickers. However while Nash gets more acquainted with the facts, doubts begin to grow about Vickers’ conviction. Proving his innocence is going to be difficult enough, however just keeping him alive until they can learn the truth might prove to be impossible.

“Silent as the Grave” is the first novel in the “Eden House Mysteries” series and was released in the year 2014. Christmas in 1979. Adam Bailey, a former TV reporter, gets invited by Harriet, his old flame, and Sir Anthony, her husband, to Mulgrave Castle for all the festivities. He accepts reluctantly, intrigued by their request for him to investigate the family’s curse.

However within just hours of showing up, a blizzard rolls in which leaves the castle and all of its guests stranded. And once one of the visitors gets murdered, Adam and Eve (Harriet’s sister) work on solving the crime. However with danger stalking every move they make, they have to work quickly before they can uncover the mystery before more lives are lost.

Could the killer be a member of the house party? Or has the family curse struck yet again?

“The Kaiser’s Gold” is the second novel in the “Eden House Mysteries” series and was released in the year 2014. Babes in the wood, who’s going to be the next one covered in blood? For generations now, the kids of Rowandale have recited these words, however now they’re becoming an all too disturbing reality.

After the last known member of the Latimer family passes away, his estate gets put up for sale, except for the prized stables, which are inherited by Barbara Lewis, a racehorse trainer. When her estranged husband gets murdered, she’s the prime suspect and appeals to Adam Bailey and her friend Eve Samuels to help her. However while they investigate, more people get killed and before long, Eve and Barbara find themselves in grave peril.

While the clock ticks down, Adam races in order to rescue them. Is justice going to prevail, or is the grim prophecy of the rhyme going to come true again?

“Vanishing Act” is the third novel in the “Eden House Mysteries” series and was released in the year 2015. Adam and Eve have returned and this time they’re attempting to find a dead guy.

In 1965, Northern Lights were the next big thing in the world of music. They could have been as big as The Beatles, however one night Gerry Crowther (creative force and lead singer) vanished suddenly without a trace.

Now it is about twenty years later, and there are some new stars on the pop scene, including Trudi Bell, a teen sensation. When her manager is offered a song for her new album, he is convinced that the performer on the demo is Gerry Crowther himself. Sure that there’s more to it than mere musical similarities, he gets Eve and Adam’s help to find the truth. However some folks just don’t want the truth to come out at all.
