Author Bill Wenham is an old Canadian, who was born in Harrow, England. Each of these books, he self publishes through Amazon, and says that they are some errors in his books, however, he would like people to forgive them because he is an old man.

He pens the “Inspector Charrington” series and “Inspector Meacham” series, as well as, the “Inspector Bruce Mysteries”, which he started publishing in the year 2013, when “In the Nick of Time” was released. It stars Clive Bruce, who used to be DCI Meacham’s old Detective Sergeant, and he has taken the role of Inspector in the series.

In his long career, he worked for David Lean (a famous film director) during his time in the British film industry, served in the R. A. F. and traveled the world with the British Merchant Navy, and worked for the London Metropolitan Police Force during the fifties.

In the year 1957, he and Margaret (who is his wife) moved to Canada, where he would work for over 25 years for Air Canada. Before retiring in 1992, he continued to work in the travel industry in different senior executive roles.

He and his wife have one son and one daughter, and four grandchildren (two girls and two boys). Margaret, after 61 years being married, died peacefully in July of 2014.

For the majority of his life, he has been an artist, and makes some of the covers of his books. He finds that he enjoys writing more than art, after beginning to write in the year 2005. That being said, he painted something for a Canadian fighter pilot, who served during World War II and lives in Dunnville, Ontario.

Due to the severe arthritis he has, he uses the hunt and peck method to pen his books. He entered nine screenplays into a contest Amazon held in the year 2011, and once that ended, he stopped doing it. He still uploads many of the screenplays he writes to Kindle for people to buy or borrow them. He has to be contacted if one of them is to be used for a movie or some similar production.

As he gets older, he finds that writing is a great way to keep the small gray cells active. There is quite a bit of thought required, with painting, there is mainly manual dexterity, which he lost a lot of to arthritis.

He will come up with a title, and then fret over how to make a story work with a given title. Sometimes, though, he will change the name of the book by the end anyway, after the original title has done its job. The books seem to write themselves, and it is like he is watching a movie and his job is to write down the things he sees.

Something he would like to do accomplish is to have a film or television series made from a book or script he has written.

The final book that he intends to write is called “What Lies Beneath”, and it completes the 25 novel series of Charrington, Meacham, and Bruce stories. This is due to his wanting to travel with best friend and wife Ruth; the couple wants to have as much fun as possible before they are too old to enjoy life.

“In the ‘Nick’ of Time” is the first novel in the “Inspector Bruce Mysteries” series, which was released in the year 2013. Two elderly local philanthropists look like they are not quite what the appear to be. Bruce’s daughter is kidnapped from her school during the pick up time, making things get pretty personal. Will Ken Meacham (who is now retired) be able to help him save his young daughter, an upset Bruce wonders.

“The Pension Plan” is the second novel in the “Inspector Bruce Mysteries” series, which was released in the year 2013. With this case, Bruce investigates a different case than his usual mayhem and murder. This is due to the case involving a group of people’s activities who are in a retirement home, quite a few odd robberies, at the very least one murder, as well as one that should have been but wasn’t.

“The Fall of Romanski’s Empire” is the third novel in the “Inspector Bruce Mysteries” series, which was released in the year 2013. A London leader of a gang, as well as the personal body guard die when the private plane crashes in the Pyrenees under suspicious circumstances.

It appears as though all five people on the plane died, that includes the three members of the crew. However, there are only three bodies are recovered, all of which are horribly burned. Then there are murders that begin happening. Maybe Konny Romanski is one of the survivors after all. If that is the case, why did no one ever see him ever again?

“A Thoroughly Modern Murder” is the fourth novel in the “Inspector Bruce Mysteries” series, which was released in the year 2013. Bruce and Tyler (who is Bruce’s partner) set themselves up as bait so they can draw out the serial killer.

A guy gets an email that says he has been ‘deleted’, something he believes is just a joke. It is absolutely no joke when he finds that all of his records do not exist anymore. Medical, personal, dental, and financial. None of them exist anymore. To make things worse, although not a concern of his anymore, he is killed in a horrible way and mutilated so there is no way to identify the guy. Higher ups at the company he worked at start vanishing at a rate that is quite alarming.

“The Play’s the Thing” is the fifth novel in the “Inspector Bruce Mysteries” series, which was released in the year 2013. A murder happens after spending time at a hit show in London. Detective Sergeant Tyler has gone to another station to be Inspector, and Bruce has gotten a new Detective Sergeant. This Detective Sergeant is a capable young female known as DS ‘Dynamite’.

The murder happens, and DS Dynamite is reminded of a show in London she saw where the odd weapon of choice used in the play was also used in the murder they are investigating. To make things worse, the dead guy’s wife is not showing that much concern over his being gone.

I am 73 years old. I have been working on a book that has been in the process for the last 15 years. I have just started picking it up again to finish it. I know this seems out of the ordinary, but it just got put aside and left to its demise.I would like to know if you have any advice for me to complete this novel?
As a matter of fact, it does take place in the northern part of England during the 1800s. Its a mystery involving a body found in the peat bogs in the moors. It changes from the 1800s to around the
6th century. Thank you. Eileen Silvers
