A Place for Us is the first novel in the Blue Harbor series written by Olivia Miles. If you are looking for a fantastic warm weather read or are just a fan of romance series, this is a book you should look into!

The main character in this story is Brittany Conway. When she was just 18 years old, she decided that she was going to get out of Blue Harbor and never look back. She knew that she was getting away from her past for good and wanted to believe that she could close the door on that chapter of her life and that place forever.

Little did she know what the future would hold for her. It turns out that a family emergency has pulled her back. Her father has fallen and now she must agree to return to help him out with his business. She could turn him down, but she doesn’t have it in her to do it. She’s also in between jobs at the moment and so it’s just the better choice to go back, help her father, make sure that he’s doing okay, and help to run the family business and maybe get back on her feet too.

The last thing that Britt wants is to go back to her hometown. But things are really tough once she gets there. She didn’t see her father falling for his caregiver, or the fact that she’s in a disagreement with her little sister, or that her former love would have returned to the area and happened to be employed at the orchard run by her family. However, all of it ends up happening.

The family business is not doing well, but Britt is determined to give it its best chance of succeeding. Can Robbie help her to achieve her goal? The two once had something important together, and they could have a future once more if they both are open to it. Britt’s been spending all of her time away from Blue Harbor, but now that she is back she is starting to see that some people are worth returning to. Will the pair get together? Read this book to find out!

Second Chance Summer is the second book in the Blue Harbor series by Olivia Miles. In the first book readers met Britt, and now they’re about to meet Amelia Conway.

Amelia took care of her little sisters and cared for her father for a dozen years. She was the mother when they had none and stepped up to be the core of the family. Her sweetheart from high school relocated out of town and since then Amelia hasn’t opened her heart to anybody. She has moved on to become the owner of a café and knows that she has to consider opening up to the idea of experiencing her own love and fairy tale ending.

Amelia’s family is not as dependent on her now and things are turning around. When her love comes back to Blue Harbor, it seems that the summer may be looking up. It might just be wonderful. Matt Bradford is fond of his hometown, but once he left it he just never found anywhere else where he could settle down.

When his family lost the business, it was tough. Now he has come back and is in his hometown for work. An architect, he’s pitching a huge resort. The full-service getaway would not only be a huge deal for his career but make up for any deficiencies of the past. He did not expect that there would be any roadblocks along the way with this process, though, and there are also old memories of his relationship that are still active that he did not anticipate.

Matt runs into Amelia and his former girlfriend sparks in him reminders of who he was and other memories he thought he had moved on from. But it turns out his business ambitions might just not work for her café. Can his former flame make him see that Blue Harbor doesn’t need changing? Can the two carve out a future together here? Read this romance novel to find out!
