Bob Mayer is one of the prominent authors from New York City, The United States. He is famous for writing novels based on the Thriller, Historical Fiction and Science Fiction genres. Bob was born in Bronx, New York City. He went on to graduate from the West Point before becoming a New York Times bestselling novelist. The books written by him have sold more than 5 million copies all over the world. Apart from writing novels, Bob also founded the Cool Gus Publishing in partnership and has been publishing his works in his own publishing house. He likes to read everything that his wife suggests, who herself is an avid reader. Due to this, Bob has read a lot of nonfiction books. His favorite books include the science fiction classics because of which he has filled his house with a number of science fiction books. Bob likes to use a number of pen names while writing different categories of novels. Some of his prominent pseudonyms include Robert Doherty, Bob McGuire, Joe Dalton and Greg Donegan. Before taking up writing as a full time career, Bob used to be a Green Beret. After he began his career as an author in the year 1991, he has written and published more than 50 books. Bob has been a regular writing partner of author Jennifer Cruise, along with whom he also works as a writing instructor for young and upcoming authors.

Apart from his novels, Bob remains in great demand for life-changing, team-building and as a consultant and a leadership speaker for teaching norms of being a notable author to the enthusiastic writers, through a holistic teaching program. The program is carried on through hid Who Dare Wins concept. The novels written by Bob have frequently featured in the New York Times, Wall Street Journal, Publishers Weekly and a number of other bestseller lists. As a child, Bob Mayer was born and brought up in Bronx, New York City and attended the West Point for graduation after completing his high school. At West Point, Bob learnt about the history of the military of his country. Bob was of the opinion that the military men are more important the mission, as opposed to the beliefs of the military forces. When he volunteered for joining the Special Forces as a Green Beret, he experienced that the men over there felt themselves more important than their mission and this allowed Bob to serve with ease. The famous novel series’ written by Bob include the Area 51, Psychic Warrior and the Atlantis series, which were the outcomes of his vast knowledge about the Special Forces and the military as well as his obsession with the old mythology. These emotions were mixed with a strong willingness to learn about his country and this led Bob to write his novels based on the history of the military organization of his country. His ability of blending the elements of truth with exciting thrillers in his novels keeps his readers guessing till the very end.

Bob’s passion for creating thrillers and his background in the Special Forces has allowed him to mix fact and fiction with great authenticity. Even the readers find it difficult to differentiate the facts from the fictions and allows them to flow with the story in the books. In the historical fiction novels that he has written, Bob has blended the actual events of history with the fictional characters. This way, he has not altered the history, but has changed the origin of the historical events. The rich flavor in his writings can be understood from the fact that he has a great desire to study the past of his country and its effects on the future, which is complimented through his military background. When Bob is not busy in writing novels, he keeps himself involved in workshops, seminars and presentations for a number of national and international organizations. He has taught the art of writing in a number of universities and organizations such as the San Diego State University, the University of Georgia, the Boston SWAT, the Maui Writes and a number of others as well. Bob has also served as a visiting writer in Creative Writing for several writing programs and also done interviews for a number of shows including the Discovery Channel, the Sports Illustrated, the SyFy channel, Forbes and the Wall Street Journal among a few others as well.

One of the novel series’ written by author Bob Mayer is The Green Berets series, which consists of 7 novels published between the years 1991 and 2013. The first novel of the series was published by the Who Dares Wins Publishing in the year 1991. The novel was titled ‘Eyes of the Hammer’ and features the main character Dave Riley. The plot of the novel deals with the idea of US Army Green Berets not only taking down the drug trafficking criminals but also betraying their own government. The Green Berets army is led by Dave Riley, who is ordered to lead the team of the Special Forces in Colombia along with unmarked uniforms and sterilized weapons. The Special Forces team is given the task of conducting covert raids on the cocaine processing labs and destroy them. However, the actual mission is not what they are thinking as the CIA also gets involved. The team gets double crossed by its own government and is thrown in an Israeli mercenary. Dave Riley and his team feel betrayed by their government and put on a mission that they thought to be something else, which keeps them wondering what to do next.

The second novel of the series was published in the year 1992 and was titled ‘Dragon Sim-13’. In this novel, a computer genius named Meng had created a system called as Dragon Sim-13, which had the ability to allow the Special Operations Command’s ability of the US government to respond efficiently and swiftly. The simulation of Meng had given a huge blow to the People’s Republic of China, which was causing atrocious slaughters of the democratic protesters. Meng had seen a lot through his eyes in the Tiananmen Square and had decided to bring the People’s Republic to its knees by designing the system. The US government plans of launching an attack on China under the leadership of Dave Riley and his Green Berets. They are required to enter the borders of China and execute the Dragon Sim-13 mission without getting detected. They face the danger of getting caught by the unmerciful Chinese army, but seem to be determined to complete their mission and stop the atrocities of the People’s Republic of China on the democratic protesters.
