Richards is pulled into the numerous killings of women who, just like the first victim, were former students of the same school that Richards attended. Together, with his friend Buck, a huge moustached biker, they initiate the hunt for the killer, before he claims yet another life. Penny Wickens who is a television host is the next victim on the killer’s list. While protecting Wickens, Jim falls in love with her. Classmates Murder

In Classmates Murder we meet with one Jim Richards, who despite being old enough to get his place, he is living with his parents. Jim was recently fired from his work, where he used to serve as a security guard for one of the leading car dealerships. Jim Richards is an avid reader and loves watching anything that is related to mystery, television series, books, and movies. This book follows Jim Richards, who lives a rather simple and boring life. However, things take an expected turn when he receives a very disturbing email from one of his classmates. The woman was one of the protagonists’ ex-girlfriend when he was still in high school. The woman is afraid that someone is constantly trying to take her life. However, Jim Richards receives the message a little bit too late.

By the time, he finds the woman; she is found dead. A message is left behind that there were several other killings that were going to come. With his great friend, Buck, Jim Richards decides to make use of his investigative skills to find a solution to the mysteries before another person turns up dead. Each time, the police appear to be one-step behind. As time goes by, Jim Richards continues to be an important part of the case, even despite the fact that he knew very little about the woman who was killed. Eventually, Jim Richards finds out that the women who were being killed were cheerleaders, back in the days. Thus, Jim Richards is more than keen to find out, who may want the ladies dead, several years down the line. With that said, Classmates Murder is an easy and entertaining read.

After one Russ Baker fails to thwart, a group of murderous thieves, he is given a demotion, which eventually places him in a basement, which is full of cold case files. Down at the basement, Russ Baker is not alone, and he meets with one, Wesley Wes Loomis, who is believed to be dead after his partner shot him. Wesley Wes Loomis says that a man, from an exceedingly dark place somewhere between hell and heaven, decides to enlist him to assist Russ. Apart from conversing with ghosts, Wesley can also read mind, which eventually proves to be exceedingly critical when solving his cases. Russ has no option but to ensure that no one knows comes to know his partner because he is the only person who can hear and see him. Thus, he decides to claim the breakthrough that he has had in every case, to unnamed sources.

Russ Baker’s success eventually catches the eye of his captain, who decides to give him an open case, which involved the brutal killing of four women. Baker knows that preventing the killing of a fifth woman is not going to be easy because Wes is unable to contact the spirit of the victim. Bob Moat, rather short and jaunty tale has few scenes of profanity and violence. Humor is in abundance; including many at times, when Russ is talking to Wes, it appears like he is talking to himself.

Vegas Showgirl

In Vegas showgirl, we meet with Jim Richards a senior citizen sleuth, survived the classmate’s murders together with his girlfriend, Penny. Jim, Penny, Deacon and Buck head to Las Vegas, where a sister, to the Deacon, a showgirl, slowly escapes being poisoned, when another girl consumes the poison, which was meat for Deacon’s sister. It does not take long before a second girl is killed. Thus, Jim and his entire crew must do all they can to ensure the killer is brought to justice. Initially, Jim resided in Las Vegas. Thus he makes use of his great understanding of the city to solve the killings of the showgirls. However, upon arrival in Las Vegas, Jim’s past comes to haunt him. Was the killer has something to do with the showgirl business in Las Vegas? Furthermore, how many girls are going to be killed before the killer is found?

I started reading the Ghost Squad series last Sunday and have got through books 1-7 already in just two days. I can’t put them down. I have 8 to 10 to go but could not get number 11 until I get more funds.
    Highly recommend I love them.
