The series is comprised of 6 books in total released between 2013 and 2019. Each and every book of this series features the main protagonist in the role of Brad Jacobs. He is described as a former Force Recon Marine, currently working part-time as a bounty hunter and part-time as an international expert of hostage retrieval. In carrying each of his missions, Brad Jacobs hires his ex-Special FOrces colleagues for helping him in planning and execution. Every mission that comes Brad’s way is different in various senses, but he studies them deeply, things of every possible angle that could go wrong, senses every possible danger and the subsequent solutions, and then head for well-planned executions. The debut book of the Brad Jacobs series written by author Scott Conrad is entitled ‘Track DOwn Africa’. It was released in 2013 as a Kindle edition. The main characters of this book include Jessica Paul, Brad Jacobs, and several others. As the story begins, it is depicted that Brad Jacobs’ 26-year-old cousin, Jessica Paul, goes missing during a Central Africa trip. She had gone there to search for an old diamond mine that is known to have legendary importance. As soon as Brad learns about Jessica’s disappearance, he starts preparing for tracking her down. This assignment is quite personal and more important than all the other he has taken up before as it involves his family member. Brad Jacobs gathers his team of specialist veterans and navigates through the darkest and deepest jungles surrounding the Ubangi River.

The search turns into a pulse-pounding race against the clock as Brad tries to locate Jessica Paul and bring her back alive. It is very well known to him that there are numerous ways to go missing in Africa and none of them have any chance of survival. Brad Jacobs wonders if Jessica Paul has gotten lost or someone has kidnapped her for ransom. What worries him the most is that if the ruthless Seleka boss, Ostrigamo, finds her before him, he might never find her. The Seleka Rebels are notorious for not letting their targets get out alive. Brad and his team travel across the perilous jungles to find out the truth about the disappearance of Jessica Paul. While doing so, they also end up discovering the mysterious diamonds’ fate that Jessica was so desperate to find. In addition to an excellent story, this book provides full-speed action, real-life characters, breakneck adventure, and exotic destinations. All these factors make the reading even more enjoyable.

Another exciting novel of the series is known as ‘Track Down Iraq’. It was published in 2017 in the Kindle format. This novel follows yet another adventure of Brad Jacobs and his support staff of Marine veterans in which they battle against ISIS terrorists in Iraq. The plot opens by depicting that Brad Jacobs comes to know about the kidnapping of one his colleagues and best friends named Brandon Murphy by Iraq’s Sunni extremists. Just like him, Brandon Murphy is also a Force Recon Marine and now works as a mercenary for Belus, an organization that hires Marine veterans on a contractual basis. Upon investigating the events that led Brandon’s hostage situation, Brad learns that Belus has been hired by the US government for assisting the Iraqi forces in retaking Mosul.

Following his kidnapping, the Sunni extremists release a video featuring Brandon Murphy in which he is threatened to get beheaded if the United States government doesn’t release their team members held in the Guantanamo Bay prison. Considering this situation as too dangerous, the government decides to turn their back on Murphy. But, Brad cannot let his friend die at the hands of the terrorists. He decides to take it upon himself to rescue Brandon and bring him back to his family and friends. Brad Jacobs’ team is ready to fight for him until their last breath and do whatever it takes to bring Brandon back alive. As time is running out for Brandon, Brad’s team heads to Iraq to take on the extremists.
