Brea Alepoú is an American author of fantasy, gay and lesbian books. She discovered her dream was writing novels and telling stories during her five years in college studying for a degree. Since then, she’s dedicated most of her time to writing and letting her imagination run wild. At first, Brea only ventured into writing contemporary, but she would later discover her passion for writing other genres. Her wild imagination fills her stories with vampires, fairies, sweet loving between men, and the passion between women or people with multiple partners. Brea believes everyone deserves love, even when not all her characters get it immediately.

More than Blood is the first book in the Blood book series by Brea Alepoú. It’s a paranormal romance novel featuring a cast of intriguing characters and plenty of sexy scenes; the world-building and plotline are top-notch to keep you hooked from the first page to the last. We meet Karter as he’s thrown out of his wolfpack, and because of his poor choices, he finds himself in the hands of four vampires. If he doesn’t get his life back in order, he will end up dead. He is dragged in by the vampire, who wouldn’t hesitate to put a silver bullet in his head and is given an opportunity rather than death. He is to feed the vampire by becoming a walking blood bank, and with nowhere else to go, he reluctantly agrees. Soon, Karter finds himself craving things no werewolf would crave from the vampires. Four vampires and one werewolf are all it takes to create a recipe for disaster.

Brea Alepoú’s More Than Blood is a male reverse harem novel featuring vampires and werewolves. Karter’s involvement with some shady people sees him sent to a vampire house, where the vampires use him as a walking blood bag. Not only does he serve as their blood bag, but he also gets the vampires to fall in love with him. Brea Alepoú clearly understands how to craft steamy scenes, with some rougher than others. You would think this is a tale about Karter’s reconciliation and going back to his wolfpack while at the same time hooking up with the sexy vampires along the way. While the story does gear towards that direction and fades away, it eventually returns near the end when Karter’s sister finds herself in serious trouble. Overall, “More Than Blood” is an intriguing read, especially if you are looking for a paranormal romance novel that’s both hot and fast-paced. It’s a book that promises to keep you hooked to the very end.

Published in 2019, Trading in Blood is the fifth book in the Blood Book series by Brea Alepoú. We are introduced to Rheland, the king of vampires. He is constantly reminded that ruling with fear isn’t an option for a king. People change, and Rheland is a perfect example; his past isn’t clean, but he is committed to spending the rest of his life clearing a spot from the past. On the other hand, Lynk needs housing for his wolfpack, while Rheland wants a man lover closer. A match between Lynk and Rheland would be a win-win situation.
What’s a little price to pay to obtain what he genuinely desires? Except it’s not just Lynk. There’s also a beta werewolf that challenges Rheland’s willpower, twins who are always hot and cool, and a human that keeps reminding him of his first love, which was the last thing Rheland anticipated. A vampire king with all things but love, a wolf alpha who’s never wanted to head his group stuck in a fatherly role, a vicious beta werewolf, brothers in need of a firm hand, and a human who seeks to comprehend the otherworldly. Once more, Brea Alepoú creates a reverse harem novel that will engage you from the first page to the last. She excels in her writing style, and one of her best abilities includes blending multiple points of view in a story without ever appearing overwhelming and without foregoing a character’s integrity. Additionally, the sex scenes in this book are sizzling hot and will have you endlessly blushing.

Brea Alepoú is skilled at penning poly tales with characters that have different personalities and unique interactions with everyone else in the polycule relationship without being excessively intricate or hard to comprehend, and that’s what happens in A King to be Claimed, the first book in Our King, Our Master book series. Edoli has coexisted with humans for a long time, blessed by the gods and goddesses. While some possess talents such as shape-shifting and elemental mastery, the rarest are the queens and kings who can form a blood relationship with keepers to increase their power and their own. His entire life, Titos has been viewed as worthless and feeble. He has never formed a relationship with any edoli and has nothing of value to give his queen. Exiled feeling lonely, he has lived among humans and isolated from other edoli for years in an attempt to evade execution.

Titos’s life will change forever after a stranger rescue him from impending death. Seth is not an ordinary stranger; he is stunningly attractive and professes to have been pulled to Titos to serve as his guardian. He convinces Titos that he is both a king and a powerful one. But in his wildest expectations, Titos has never dreamed he was someone with a unique personality. Yet a king is not all that Titos is… Titos fears Seth’s powers because he nearly killed him during their bonding. Fortunately, Seth is not the only keeper who responds to Titos’s cry, and Mazki understands how to save Seth’s life.

The bond between Seth, Titos, and Mazki is instant and intense, and Adom and Kail are also quickly attracted to Titos. However, since Titos has acknowledged his birthright, everyone knows the edoli council will soon come for him. Titos knows he doesn’t have much time to prepare, as he is evading murderous pursuers and attempting to remain concealed from the council. Sooner than he would want, he must protect what he and his keepers have built and his whole existence. A King to Be Claimed has an HFN ending, scenes with numerous lovers, a poly-style harem, light blood play, and a king who desires to be loved.
