Biography

Brenda Joyce wrote her first novella at the tender age of 16; however, the name of this book has not yet been confirmed. She launched her first novel at 25 which went on to become a sensation. Her novel “Innocent Fire” which was published in 1988 was the first extraordinary book in the saga of the Bragg family. It was successful in capturing the heart of readers worldwide. The Romance Writers Of America gave her the Best Western Romance award for this mesmerizing work.

She thanks everyone on her website by supporting her through thick and thin over the last 28 years and assures her readers to come up with some more exciting works. Currently she is focusing on her life with Rick (a character from her novel) and was supposed to fly to New York for the weekend on May 2015. Brenda recently got engaged to the love of her life on February 13, 2015, according to her Facebook post.

Brenda Joyce-A Passionate Novelist

In an exclusive interview with Writerspace, Brenda talks on her experience while writing the Francesca Cahill series. She says that she’s overly fascinated with Francesca Cahill, who has now become the most courageous, strong-willed and amusing character. To those of you who are not aware of this, Francesca Cahill is the heiress to a huge fortune and is quite different from a single woman of her age. She goes to Barnard College and is outlandish besides being a political activist. The idea of marriage and shopping does not seem to ignite any passion within her-much to her mother’s dismay. Instead, she’s a strong woman who is always there to help those in dire need and has a tremendous determination to fight injustice. To make the situation worse, she is in love with two men belonging to different backgrounds-one is Rick Bragg, a newly appointed Police Commissioner who loves justice and the other Calder Hart, notorious brother of Rick. In the novel Deadly Love, Francesca falls in love with Rick and eventually finds a ransom note. Since the abductee is a child belonging to her neighbor, she cannot resist from finding the child. Francesca knows that she has a knack for solving crime and begins to practice the profession.

It seems that Rick has been separated from this wife and was unhappily married. Francesca is intrigued by Hart and the series turns out to be a love triangle. In a nutshell, the story revolves around an overly passionate woman who is an expert at solving crimes while being torn between two men with varied tastes.

“Deadly Kisses” by Brenda Joyce continues the saga of Francesca Cahill. Francesca gets engaged to Calder at the onset of the book. However, they both get plunge into a murder mystery involving his former mistress, Daisy Jones, which threatens their relationship and life. Calder remains the prime suspect and Rick takes up the case. He is hell bent on not exhibiting any favoritism towards his estranged brother. Their relationship turns out to be a complicated affair since Francesca is still extremely close with Rick.

She is now determined to find the murderer even though both the brothers suggest her to stay away from this complicated case. As she digs into Daisy’s past, an astonishing fact creeps up. Daisy belongs to a member of a prominent family and now it gets difficult to unearth whether her death is related to her past or present.

Brenda’s novel “A Lady At Last” received accolades from readers with some people praising her limits of power and passion and is also one of her most emotional books. The main character in this story is Amanda Carre, a pirate’s daughter, who has never been coached in general behavior and the attitude of being welcoming and polite to people. She is left alone in the world and has never been dependent upon anyone until she meets Cliff de Warenne, who saves her from a fierce mob when her father is being hanged. Her next job is to sail to England to find her mother whom she has never met, while being in the company of a protector who is a notorious womanizer. He is also a great privateer who is hailed by many as being a gentleman. Honor demands that she meet her mother while staying away from Cliff at the same time. However, with every passing moment it gets tough for Amanda to get attracted to this courteous man. She finally decides to take matters into her own hands.

This awesome novel by Brenda Joyce is exciting, romantic as well as heartbreaking. It starts off with a bang and forces readers to keep all their energy and attention to it.

Even though Brenda Joyce is a household name, boasting of a credible readership number, none of her novels have been made into movies or TV shows.

Brenda Joyce sells most of her novels on online platforms like Amazon and eBay, and states that the profit margins are much greater. She further adds that unlike paper, ebooks generate her tons of money.
