The Calypso Directive is the first novel in the Think Tank series by Brian Andrews. When it comes to science fiction and action and adventure, they’re about to collide in this dynamic debut novel.
Things like an underground think tank, an evil pharma company, genetic mutations that are far from expected, and more are all common in a book such as this one. The main character of Will Foster is in a big pickle as he’s been locked up for the past 155 days.
Not only is it boring and agonizing with nothing to do, but he’s basically been put in medical quarantine and never gave his consent to be there. His normal life is waiting for him and there’s nothing that he can do about it. The doctors there tell him that the reason for this quarantine is that he is harboring a virus, and it is deadly.
Even though this is what Will is being told, he has every reason to not believe them. That would be a correct instinct as the virus line is all a lie. The truth is that he has a mutation programmed into his DNA that gives him an actual immunity from any and all diseases. Anyone who has the same coding would have the same resistance that he does. He is as far from having a vicious disease as you can possibly be, and it’s all thanks to science.
This is what is called gene therapy, and a company named Vyrogen Pharmaceuticals wants to turn it into a commercial business and make millions off of it. Everyone would clamor to have a gene therapy session that could give them immunity to sickness and help them to stay well forever. It’s as close as you can get to protection from death in this day and age. Who wouldn’t want that for themselves?
Foster is able to get out of the prison lab that holds him and along the way is able to take with him a strain of plague that is really virulent. He’s taking it with him to have as a backup plan and insurance in case things don’t work out. There’s a lot that he still has to figure out, but he figures that he can do that on the run.
He gets in touch with a former lover, the only person that he feels that he can trust. They are living in Vienna and they meet up and become on the run together. He and his friend go on the run across all of Europe and the company is right behind them. They have hired a think tank to track down the escaped man and find out where he is going.
But the team of thinkers also is able to find something that could bring the company down. There is a dark side to the competitive world of competition when it comes to pills and medicine, and this company may have just sown their own seeds of destruction. The company wants to avoid a pandemic– at least that is what they are saying publicly.
However, this company may have taken on more than they bargained for when it comes to Foster. They want to meet the needs of their client and they want to do what is best for the company but they also want to stay alive. Foster is only about saving himself at this point.
This suspense novel is a fast read and the action keeps going until you don’t know what’s going to happen! This novel is something that you’re going to have to pick up for yourself to find out what happens so go check it out and see what happens in the end! Tons of suspense and action and packed with details, this book is a fun read that will have you wondering what secrets our DNA can hold or have unlocked by science.
The Infiltration Game is the second novel in Brian Andrews’ Think Tank series. This is the thrilling second book in the Think Tank series by Andrews! The world of business is always tough, but it’s about to get even tougher because CEOs are dropping off like flies.

The Think Tank (including junior analyst Sloane Keller) is asked to investigate the events and soon the events are connected to a Chinese venture capitalist named Michael Sun.
Michael is a business man that is very smart but also has a dark past. Every new thing that comes up convinces Sloane that the deaths are connected. She has no idea how or why but she is going to find out one way or another.
Things soon get worse when she finds out that her father’s company may have had certain business deals going on with Michael Sun as well. Does this mean that her father will be the next CEO victim? Am enjoying Tier one series. Will there be more after the seventh book? Need Grimes and Dempsey to connect.
