Brittani Williams is a noteworthy author from America, who is fond of writing urban fantasy, contemporary, and romance books. She is particularly well known for writing the Black Diamond series as well as a few standalone books. Author Brittani was born and brought up in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, United States. Brittani started writing at a very young age and has now contributed around 12 years of her life to this field. She enjoys reading and writing a lot. Her close friends and family members always see her busy with the development of some or the other story.

The first novel that she was able to publish in her career was Automatic Princess. This book came out in 2005 and helped author Brittani get noticed by renowned critics for her interesting character depictions and writing style. Even though the book was able to garner only moderate success, it gave Brittani a much required confidence boost that helped her get through a couple of more stand-alone novels before trying her hand at writing her first book series. She has contributed one book to the Black Diamond novel series every two, starting from 2008, and looks forward to contribute a few more in the coming years to this series. Over the course of her literary career, author Brittani has collaborated with several other authors for developing some specific novels. One such novel is known as The Cathouse, which was published in 2008 and was the result of the collaboration of author Brittani with the authors Anna J and Laurinda D Brown. Another work of collaboration of author Brittani is The Games Don’t Change. For this 2016 book, she had teamed up with author Mazaradi Fox. In addition to the standalone novels and book series, author Brittani has also penned a short story collection called The Magic Stick, which she released in 2011.

There is also a novella in her name called Eye Candi. Apart from working on her own books, Brittani has even contributed as a writing partner for developing the third book of the Carl Weber’s Kingpins series. This particular book was called Philadelphia and made available for the readers in 2015. After working her way through all the years of struggle and success, author Brittani has finally managed to develop a fan base for herself. She hopes that more and more fans will add her in their list of favorite authors in the years to come. Author Brittani has planned the publishing of several exciting books in the days to come and wishes that they become much more successful and popular than all her previous books.

The Black Diamond series written by author Brittani Williams is comprised of a total of 3 books, which were released between the years 2008 and 2012. The debut book of this series is entitled ‘Black Diamond’. It was released as a Paperback edition in the year 2008. The chief protagonists depicted in this book by Brittani include Mica, Diamond, Kemp Lo, Shirley, Laverne, etc. At the start of the book’s story, it is shown that Mica and Diamond are best friends from their childhood days. They have always helped each other out in the difficult times and they never miss out on watching the backs of each other. One day, Mica decides to move out of her neighborhood as she feels that it has been too infested with drugs and drug dealers. Diamond doesn’t this decision of Mica and she feels Mica did not think about her before making the decision. She even labels her act as a selfish one. The two eventually have a fall out and maintain distance from one another. Later, Diamond too gets in touch with a notorious drug-dealer from North Philadelphia named Kemp Lo and moves out of the neighborhood. The best friends go on to meet each other once again in different circumstances. They seem to have taken up the new identities as Shirley and Laverne for the ghetto. However, it turns out that each woman has a hidden motive behind the decision of becoming friends again. They think of killing Kemp Lo and obtain his enormous wealth. Among the two women, one appears to have quite a sinister plan that could result in the death of the other one. On the whole, this book depicts a fast paced drama in which lives get destroyed by the revelation of long hidden secrets.

As the friends realize the life threatening difficulties lying ahead, they wonder whether they will be able to withstand them long enough to come out alive. None of them wants things to be falling apart again. They wish to remain friends forever like the old times, even if it means not getting the fortune of Kemp Lo. However, they know that they cannot just sit and watch getting robbed of their lives. They are required to stand up and fight for their survival and their friendship.

The next popular installment of this series is called ‘Nicety’. It was first published in the year 2010 and then again in 2011 as Paperback and Kindle editions. Once again, author Brittani has mentioned the lead characters of the story as Diamond and Mice, who is also known as Black, with a few other secondary characters playing important roles. At the beginning of the story of this book, it is depicted that Diamond is seen as a nice lady by some people around her, but most others see her as a nasty person. She is even referred to as nasty Diamond by many of them. After her return to the scene, Diamond seems to have several more tricks to show. Following the death of Kemp Lo, Diamond moves on quickly and patches things up with Black. However, things do not turn out as smoothly as she had expected. When several attempts are made to kill her by a victim that she thought she had gotten rid of, Diamond worries that things are going out of her control. The situation turns even more troublesome for her when people from her old life keep coming out one after the other and causing problems for her. One such person is her own father, who had abandoned her around 10 years ago.

Seeing all such people makes Diamond feel that she is unable to control her emotions. Later, a hustler named Money turns up from nowhere and becomes the partner of Black. This makes the soldiers of Black quite jealous. He forges a plan to get Black locked behind the bars and seduce Diamond so as to become close enough to her to take the place of Black. As the drama continues to unfold, Diamond’s disposition to rule over all begins to break into numerous pieces. The later description of the story shows how Diamond struggles to maintain her rule and commits mistakes in the event. Some of the mistakes are so big that Diamond ends up losing the two most important and loved things, her money and her best friend Black.
