Lexi Blake is a USA Today and New York Times best-selling author. She also writes using the pen name of Sophie Oak.

The best-selling author is married. She resides in North Texas along with the three kids she shares with her husband. They also help to take care of what she deems the laziest rescue dog in the world.

Lexi first began her journey through the publishing world back in 2010. Since then, she’s done really well, penning multiple series, tons of books (over one hundred and still going), establishing a reader base and selling over three million copies of her books.

Lexi started writing when she was young, but she focused more at the time on plays and journalism. Still, she says, it was not until she attempted to write romance and urban fantasy stories that she began to find success. She says that she enjoys finding humor in unusual places and believes in writing happy endings, despite how strange the couple (or threesome or foursome) may appear.

Her first book was titled Their Virgin Captive: Masters of Menage, Book 1. It was co-authored along with Shayla Black, a best-selling author that has also hit the top of the New York Times. They came out with several more books in the series, continuing with Their Virgin’s Secret, Their Virgin Concubine, Their Virgin Princess, Their Virgin Hostage, Their Virgin Secretary, and Their Virgin Mistress. She also is the writer behind the Masters and Mercenaries series, as well as her urban fantasy series Thieves and several others.

Lexi Blake is the creator and the author of the Butterfly Bayou series. This charming romance series kicked off with the publication of the first book, Butterfly Bayou, in 2020. It was followed by the release of the second book Bayou Baby the same year. This was followed up by the third novel, titled Bayou Dreaming. Bayou Dreaming was followed by the fourth novel Bayou Beauty, the fifth novel Bayou Sweetheart, and the sixth novel in the series, Bayou Beloved.

As a result, Lila pursues a fresh start by going somewhere different. She goes to Papillon, Louisiana, which was a total change of pace from what she’s used to. The small town is situated on the bayou and is a big change from Texas. Once she arrives, she finds that she is straight away right in the thick of it. Life just starts happening to her, and she starts rolling with the punches.

Right away, she finds herself making a new friendship with a gator, somehow stuck in the middle of what can only be described as the local golf cart wars, and surprises herself when she unexpectedly adopts a dog that is somewhat scruffy. Despite some of the chaos and the wild nature of living on a bayou, Lila is undaunted.

She even has a job running the medical clinic in town but finds that fitting into this unique community is more difficult than she would have anticipated or imagined. It may be quirky, but she’s working on finding her groove and her own place in this new location with new friends.

Once she gets there, she starts having unique experiences that she definitely would not have been having in Dallas. Little does she know that she may have a new friend in Armie. Sheriff Armie LaVigne is a single father and as such is someone that likes to have his set routine. However, there is not that much that appears to be routine about the new girl in town.

Still, he finds himself immediately attracted to her. She may be a fish out of water here, but she’s a beautiful one. He wouldn’t mind disrupting his routine for her and is ready to go for it. Once he gets to know her more, he has a gut instinct that she’s the right woman for him. Soon he is making plans to win her over.
