A bestselling American author of paranormal romance fiction, C.D. Gorri is known for her versatility as an writer. Early and Personal Life

Born and raised in Hoboken in the United States, C.D. Gorri would grow up with a keen interest in all things literature. Building upon this and developing it over time, she would come to refine and hone her voice, allowing her to say what it was she wanted to say. Drawing much of her inspiration from the world around her, she went on to establish something quite different and unique in the process.

Setting many of her stories in her surrounding environment as well, she’d use her own experiences to help inspire her work. Giving her work a real voice, she’d say something fresh, while also making sure to continue appealing to readers from around the world. Living in her home state of New Jersey, she carries on writing to this day, with so much more still to come on the horizon yet.

Writing Career

The first novel that C.D. Gorri would release was titled ‘Wolf Moon,’ and it would come out all the way back in 2014. Not only was it her debut title, but it would also go on to begin the ‘Grazi Kelly’ series of much loved urban fantasy novels.. This debut would help pave the way for several well-received fantasy and paranormal romance series to follow, making her a household name for many.

Other series would include the ‘Angela Tanner Files,’ ‘Macconwood Pack,’ ‘Macconwood Pack Tales,’ ‘Falk Clan,’ ‘Bear Claw Tales,’ and ‘Warden of Terra’ to name just a few. Many more series would follow on, while she has also written alongside fellow genre writers such as P Mattern and Gina Kincade. She’s also contributed to other series and collections, as well as created a number of fantasy stand-alone titles and novellas.

Conall’s Mate

Originally published through the Kindle publishing platform back in 2020 on the 1st of September, this would mark the sixth entry into the ‘Macconwood Pack’ series. It’s another paranormal romance story in the much love collection, featuring a stand-alone title set in the same world as before. Focusing on a set relationship, it bases itself around the two central partners, allowing them to shine at the forefront of the narrative.

As a member of the Alpha’s Wolf Guard, Conall Truman had always enjoyed being single, but now all his friends seem to be getting married. That’s when he’s assigned with rescuing a wolf from another pack, and it soon transpires that she is indeed more than an important dignitary. Looking to escape from her likely criminally insane cousin, Elia Spark requires sanctuary and it seems that she must flee her home. Will she be able to contend a certain werewolf though, can she find her perfect partner, and who will become Conall’s mate?

It’s a fun and engaging story that really makes the most of its entertaining premise in a knowing and compelling manner. The characters themselves are well written, as they bring the world of the series to life for the reader, really fleshing it out in the premise. It’s not essential to read the other titles in the series either, as it’s a self-contained narrative that ensures it’s easy to pick up, yet difficult to put down.

Purrfectly Naughty

This entry into the ‘Maverick Pride’ series would come out on the 27th of November back in 2020 through the ‘MTW Press’ imprint. It would be the fifth book in the collection, following on from the prior books with another stand-alone romance set in the same fantasy world. Building upon what came before, there’s plenty for fans as well, as it features a number of enjoyable character cameos, while also being its own story.

Looking to provide her cub with the best possible life, Pamela has turned her life around for both her son and the pride. Working hard to deal with her past mistakes, she’s attempted to put her problems behind her, and that’s when the Nari decides that she will represent the Maverick Pride at the annual holiday gala. Meanwhile the Andean Bear Shifter Javier Auberon has moved from his South American home, spending time with his aunt Gerri Wilder at her Paranormal Dating Agency. How will he find Pamela though, can they overcome their differences, and what will happen when they start behaving purrfectly naughty?

Another enjoyable addition to the series, this really makes for a quick and easy read, and it’s extremely entertaining the whole way. With characters that really deliver as well, the reader is fully invested in their relationship on every single level, as the story is brought to life. Simple to follow too, it also doesn’t need to be read in order with the other books in the series in order to make sense of what’s happening.
