Born and raised in America, Cynthia was always interested in both reading and writing from an early age, as she harnessed a passion for it throughout her formative years. Taking in inspiration from the world around her, she would work on honing and refining her skills constantly redefining her voice as an author and writer of fiction. This work ethic is something that she’d take into her adult career, as she continued to shape herself and her career, creating a style that is entirely unique to her.
Getting an education in the art-form as well, she would manage to give her writing a strong foundation, something which was also backed up by her interest in law. This allowed her to shape her style and her tone, as she tried her hand at a variety of different formats, something which allowed her to find herself creatively.
Working as an attorney for some time she would gain an insight into the law and how it functioned, something which was instrumental in defining her and who she was. Taking the position of being an appellate attorney for some years, this would give her a unique perspective into the judicial system, a perspective which can be seen reflected within her work. It would also provide her with a lot of material to work with, giving her novels an even greater degree of accuracy in the process, something which her many readers would also come to appreciate over the years to come.
Living in Los Angeles she currently writes to this very day, as she lives with her wife and three children, continuing to put out her books whilst working as an attorney. Writing Career
Publishing her first full novel in 2016, she came out with the title ‘Doubt’, which was the first in her ongoing ‘Caroline Auden’ series of novels. This allowed her to make her name in the world of suspense and mystery literature, although she had brought out a joint comic the previous year titled ‘Inside the Loop’. That’s not to say that it doesn’t offer some surprises along the way, as it manages to keep the reader guessing and engaged throughout, right until the very last page.
Now with her own small practice, Caroline is trying to overcome the onset of paranoia that’s haunting her due to the events of the previous novel. That’s when she finds out that her grandmother, recently deceased, has left her entire estate to a charity called Oasis Care, a group which apparently helps outcasts like her alcoholic and homeless uncle. Things aren’t all they seem, though, as it seems that there’s more to this ‘charity’ than initially meets the eye, as she finds herself thrown into an underworld of society’s most vulnerable. Will she learn the truth? Can she expose this group? Where is the proof?
