C.T. Worth is an American author of romance novels. From a young age, Worth developed a deep love for reading and firmly believed that a good book should aim to uplift its readers. However, she later found that many of her English teachers held different views, introducing her to novels filled with tragedies, melodramas, and modernist themes. Although she initially insisted that a good book should have a happy ending, she gradually realized that it wasn’t a strict requirement but remained a strong preference.

During her college years, she met Prince Charming, but an opportunity to study abroad in the picturesque English countryside temporarily led her to part ways with him. Fortunately, her patient Prince waited for her return, and over 25 years, he has taught her the true meaning of love, shared the world’s wonders with her, helped raise their two wonderful children, and continuously supported her pursuit of her dreams.

For most of her career, she worked in public-sector finance. However, in 2014, she made a life-changing decision to leave the corporate world behind and focus on her role as a homemaker. This transition gave her more time to explore new interests and hobbies, such as traveling, crafting, cake decorating, and home renovations. Surprisingly, she stumbled upon a newfound passion for writing, which became an unexpected and cherished part of her life.

In A House in the Woods: A Fairytale Retelling, we meet three teenagers who find themselves trapped by a ruthless serial killer, and their survival depends on them working together.

An evil crone has long oppressed Adele. Her life turns unexpectedly when she stumbles upon hidden riches, seemingly paving the way to her freedom. However, her joy is short-lived as she awakens in a forest cage. The relentless crone is determined to extract the treasure’s location from Adele, and her only chance of survival is to remain silent and trust no one. That’s a challenge she’s prepared for, having kept her feelings and thoughts concealed her entire life.

Hansel Fisher vowed to protect his sister, Gretel, at all costs. When a mysterious older woman takes them in, he believes they’ve finally found a haven. However, doubts creep in when Hans is asked to care for the troubled Adele. Spending more time with Adele raises suspicions about their hostess and her true intentions. If she poses a threat, can he safeguard his sister, and is protecting Gretel enough?

Adele’s imprisonment forces her to rely on Hans, but trusting him is entirely different. Despite her constant exposure to Hans’s charm and his efforts to shield his sister, she can’t forget the inherent selfishness of humans. When she learns of Hans’s peril, she must follow her heart, making it the smartest or riskiest decision ever.

This novella reimagines the classic fairy tale of Hansel and Gretel. It’s the third installment in the Once Upon a Romance series, but it can be enjoyed as a standalone read. If you appreciate clean romance, adventure, and humor, this series offers interconnected fairy tale retellings that all promise a happily ever after.

We meet Count Kristof Von Braun in A Beauty of His Own: A Fairytale Retelling. He’s been plagued by misfortune throughout his life. His mother, who was cruel and evil, attacked him with acid when he tried to save his sister. To make matters worse, he lost the only woman he ever loved. His troubles continue as he confronts an intruder who has broken into his home. After capturing the trespasser, Kristof becomes convinced that this man is the husband of his lost love. He can’t fathom things getting any worse.

Hilde Fisher has mixed feelings about her father, but he has guarded a secret from her for eighteen years. When she learns that her father is being held captive by the very man who shattered her heart, she feels compelled to assist. Upon arriving to face Kristof, her father’s captor, she uncovers the valid reason her former lover refused to see her all those years. It becomes clear that she was responsible for ruining his life. Recognizing her past mistakes, she pleads with Kristof to allow her to find a treatment to reduce his scarring.

Kristof agrees to let her stay, and as they spend time together, both find themselves risking their hearts.

This novella is the second installment in the Once Upon a Romance Series. It offers a heartwarming, second-chance retelling of the classic tale of Beauty and the Beast.

In 2020, C.T. Worth published The Man Once Called Rumpelstiltskin, the first book in the Once Upon a Romance series. In this retelling, Rumpelstiltskin takes on a different persona. Rather than being a dark character who gains riches at the expense of others, he is portrayed as intelligent and reluctant to cause harm while taking from the king and returning the treasures to the common people.

Rumpelstiltskin” is a well-known German fairy tale popularized by the Brothers Grimm. The story revolves around a miller’s daughter tasked with the impossible job of turning straw into gold. She deals with a mysterious little man, Rumpelstiltskin, who can perform this miraculous task. However, in exchange for his help, she unwittingly promises him her firstborn child. When she eventually has a child, Rumpelstiltskin returns to claim it.

Desperate to keep her child, the miller’s daughter pleads with him and offers all her wealth in exchange for her baby’s freedom. Rumpelstiltskin agrees to cancel the deal if she can guess his name, but she can only discover his name through a series of clever tricks. When she finally reveals his name, he becomes so furious that he stomps his foot into the ground and tears himself in two.

In this adaptation, Thomas Schmidt seeks vengeance and adopts a dual life. By day, he is the respected royal bookkeeper, while in his free time, he becomes the infamous bandit, Rumpelstiltskin. He plans to execute one final heist to avenge his family’s murder by the king. However, his carefully laid plans are disrupted when he encounters Greta Fischer.

Greta yearns for adventure, but being a poor miller’s daughter, she believes her dreams are unattainable. After a frightening encounter with a dangerous criminal, her silence is bought with a gold coin, and she decides that adventure is overrated.
As a result, Greta finds herself locked in a cell filled with straw, and Thomas feels compelled to rescue a stranger from a predicament he indirectly contributed to. Both must risk their safety to deceive the king, unaware they are also risking their hearts.
This wholesome romance offers humor and creatively reimagines a classic fairy tale. It presents a charming twist on the original character of Rumpelstiltskin.
