Cali MacKay is one of the USA Today and New York Times bestselling authors from America, who is famous for writing her books based on the romance and fantasy genres. In her career, she has written several bestselling romance novel series, each containing three to five books. Author MacKay resides in New England along with her loving husband and a couple of daughters. Her family also consists of a crazy mutt. Author MacKay says that whenever she is not busy with the development of her characters or plots, she likes to work for the designing of the book covers for various others. The other activities in which MacKay keeps herself involved include wrangling her daughters and DNA splicing. In addition to being a noteworthy author, she is also an adventurous cook and a decent potter. Author MacKay also likes to do gardening as she is fond of flowering plants.
One of the most popular novel series developed by author Cali MacKay is titled as The Billionaire’s Seduction. It is comprised of a total of 4 books, which were released between the years 2015 and 2016. In each of the books of the series, author MacKay has described a different set of central characters. And as each book deals with a different story, having no connection with the other books, they can be read as individual novels. One of the well known books published in this romance series is entitled ‘Obsession and Surrender’. It was released as a Kindle edition in the year 2015. The main characters depicted in this book include Keane and Lilly. At the start of the book, it is shown that Lilly is the college sweetheart of Keane and she is the only girl he has ever loved. But, he was too stupid during the days of his youth to realize this and it resulted in the ending of their relationship in a bad way. And when Keane finally realizes this thing, a period of 7 years pass by. Throughout all these years, he has tried very hard to change himself into that kind of a man whom Lilly would trust and start loving once again. And as Keane takes the step of stumbling back into Lilly’s life after a lot thinking, he ends up at her home during the middle of one night to profess his undying love. However, he goes on to have a rocky start. Lilly seems to have not forgotten Keane and his love, in spite of moving on in life. But, she only uses him as her inspiration for writing steamy romances under a pseudonym secretly.
When Keane arrives in her life again, it is the last thing that she expects. But, she seems to have a bigger problem in her life in the form of a stalker fan. The stalker wants Lilly to write a story about him and depict him in the leading role. Lilly becomes even more worried when the stalker manages to track down her place of residence. More than a lying and cheating ex-lover, the problem of a maniac stalker worry Lilly a lot. When Keane offers to protect her from the stalker, she feels cornered at first, but then decides to accept his offer. As Lilly sees that she has been stuck to live with Keane for some time now, she wonders when will she have relief in life. However, it becomes hard for her to deny that the chemistry between them still exists. And soon, Keane makes Lilly wonder if he has actually changed from the person who had broken her heart. She also wonders whether she will able to keep herself and her heart safe with her love being on the line and a stalker being on the hunt for her life. The novel goes on to have an ending of Happily Ever After. The critics seemed to like and appreciate the story and author MacKay’s style of writing. But, because of the numerous explicit sex scenes and the adult language, they have recommended that this book be read by adults only.
The next romance book written in this series by author MacKay is titled ‘Scandal and Surrender’. It was released by the Daeron Press in the form of a Kindle edition in 2015. The primary characters introduced in this novel by MacKay include Wyatt, Niall, and Fiona. In the starting sequence of the story, it is shown that Wyatt becomes successful in launching in wildly famous club in the center of Dublin after a year full of hard work. And when the club helps him in reaping the rewards, he becomes very happy. And when it comes to the no nonsense accountant of his, named Fiona, his happiness becomes double. Wyatt tends to forget the fact that he is her boss because of her luscious curves and quick wit. Later, he gets attacked by a band of thugs, who try to squeeze money from him. Wyatt knows that he has worked very hard to achieve whatever he has now and so he decides that he is not going to let the thugs take away all that without putting up a fight. On the other hand, Fiona has always liked to play safe, be it the money of her clients or her heart. She seems especially careful when it comes to the matter of her heart. But, when Wyatt turns her on with his charms, she cannot help but surrender to her feelings for him that she has been trying to deny since a long time. As the feeling seems strong on both the sides, it appears that they are going to have much more between them besides mind blowing sex. But, things begin to take a different turn when her ex-boyfriend named Niall arrives in Fiona’s life again. His arrival at a time when Wyatt is facing trouble from the thugs make her realize that Niall is the one behind everything. She knows that he is notorious for being involved in such things in the past and when she gets the required evidence, Fiona becomes certain. In order to squeeze more money from Wyatt, Niall asks Fiona to give him the access to Wyatt’s club accounts or else he threatens to destroy her family. Fiona finds herself in a great dilemma and does not know what to do. In the end, Wyatt comes to know about everything and takes control of the situation. He makes Niall pay for messing with him and Fiona. Wyatt also shows his gratitude towards Fiona for not letting him down. This novel too had a happy ending, just like the previous one. Also, it contains adult language and sex scenes in equal amount, which make it suitable for adult readers only.
