Margaret Truman is one of the best authors who has done marvelous work. She is an author and a historian who was born on 17th February 1924 in Independence, Missouri. She died on 29th January 2008 in Chicago Illinois at the age of 83 years. Before being an author, she was a singer. Margaret Truman attended her early childhood in Independence where she also attended her school. This was until her father was elected to the United States Senate in 1934. After this, she attended her school in both Washington DC and Independence. She joined George Washington University in 1942 where she became a member of the Pi Beta Phi. She graduated with Bachelor of Arts in History in 1946. After her education, she worked for quite long and about ten years down the line is when she got married. She was married to Clifton Daniel who was the New York Times reporter in 1956. The couples got married at Trinity Episcopal Church in Independence. They had four sons and the husband passed away in 2000. The sons were named Thomas born in 1966, Harrison born 1963, William born in 1959 but passed away in 2000 and Clifton born in 1957. In her later life, she stayed in her Park Avenue before passing away in 2008 just eight years after the death of her husband.

In her career as an author, she has done several inspiring and motivational books that you will definitely love reading. Before becoming an author she was a singer and her first radio debut was in March 1947. Despite unfavorable reviews, her father motivated her very much and this inspired her. She performed a guest soloist on the Railroad Hour in the presentation of Sari on 17th March 1952. Besides this, she also performed “The Big Show” that was a program on the NBC Radio. This was the place that she met a very good friend known as Goodman Ace who always advised and motivated her in life. Her first book was published in 1956 which was non-fiction book while her first fiction book came in 1980. She published her last book in 2003 before her death but later in 2011, her work was still published. She did several books for both fiction and non-fictions.

This is the first book in the series. The book was published in 1980 and some of the characters in the book are Ron Fairbanks and Lansard Blaine who are the white house counsel and secretary of state respectively. Ron Fairbanks is given the duty to carry out investigations about the secretary of the state who is very ghastly. The secretary who is known as Blaine is struggling in the Lincoln’s bedroom. Lansard who is the secretary is being rumored to be a real womanizer since she had links with the gorgeous call girl. Besides this, there other issue is about the uncertain evidence of the connection with the international wheeler dealer. Murder on Capitol Hill

This is the second book out of the 28 books in the Capital Crimes series by Margaret Truman. This novel was published in 1981 for the first time and later republished in 2011. Despite the book being the continuation of the first book, it has different characters like: Cale Caldwell who is the senator and Attorney Lydia James who is the counsel to the senate committee. Despite the great power Cale Cadwel and his blue-blooded wife had on Capitol Hill, this didn’t prevent him from being assassinated. The senator was killed in the presence of his friends at the champagne reception in his honor. This is the second murder incident that the family is experiencing after the niece was murdered two years ago. Until the moment of the senator’s murder, the one who killed the niece had not yet been found. The senate counsel, attorney Lydia James who is the investigator of the killing suspects that there must be some connection about the two deaths. This makes her be voted down first even though the strange rumors still persist. The death of the senator is great joy to others because this would benefit them in away. Some of the people who will be benefited by the death are ambitious host of the talk show, master of spin and the bitter political adversary.
