Cat Adams is the pseudonym of Cathy Clamp and Cat Adams who write the “Blood Song” series of novels. They are best known for writing bestselling fantasy and paranormal novels and mysteries as AS James. They came up with the concept of Cat Adams when they started working together in 1997. The name was derived from combining Cathy Clamp and CT Adams their two names into one. The two met when they were working as paralegals in a law officer. They would often grab lunch together at which they would talk about books and their love for reading and storytelling. Cathy always wanted to write a few titles on her own but they realized that together, they could come up with unique twists for their plots. They also realized that each one of them was great at different things. CT Adam is excellent at crafting tight and crisp plots with vivid characters while Cathy was good at amazing sex and action scenes hence their collaboration.

CT Adams is a bestselling USA Today author who has written a ton of works that have been translated into several languages. She currently lives with her son, the Wonder Dog Lucky, and several cats while working a full time job and writing in the weekends and during the evenings. She has never been a morning person but since she loves writing, she usually takes copious amounts of caffeine so that she can write her novels every morning. She has said that writing is something she wanted to do when she read her first picture book and now uses her writing as some form of escape from reality. She started her professional writing career when she teamed up with Cathy Clamp to start writing the “Blood Singer” series of novels. Since then she has successfully made a name for herself as a solo author and has also been a writer of short stories that have been published in several anthologies. When she is not writing her novels she can be found with a screwdriver, drinking chocolate or a margarita or enjoying a good steak and shrimp lunch.

“Blood Song” the debut novel by Cat Adams introduces Celia Graves, a bodyguard that had accepted her bizarre supernatural and human assignments. But her newest job is the cream of the crop as she had to guard a prince from religious fundamentalists and terrorists. It can be hard enough on its own but it does seem as if she also has to guard him against dark forces from the supernatural world too. Things only get worse when those she was supposed to help betray her and she wakes up in a very different body. She is neither vampire nor human and is something of an abomination that should never have existed. Furthermore, both the supernatural and human enemies now want her dead. She seeks the help of a psychic cop, a powerful werewolf and a sexy mage who have always been her loyal friends and hopes she can manage to stay alive. She is running from her enemies and has to find out the man responsible for turning her before it is too late.

“Siren Song” by Cat Adams is set in a world in which street corner psychics wield real power the alleys of Tinseltown are full of vampires and the police officers make use of memory enhancement spells. But Celia Graves believes she is a normal human even though she has a ghostly little sister and a best friend that has the gift of clairvoyance. Ever since she had been attacked and been made into an abomination, she has had to take her food in liquid form and the word sunburn has come to mean something very different to her. Through therapy sessions, she is adjusting to life and soon learns that a hidden element of her heritage had been revealed during the attack. She discovers that she can enrage women and enthrall men since she is part Siren. When her best friend dies in mysterious circumstances, the cops believe she needs to go to the stake or be in jail. Meanwhile, Bruno DeLuca the mage that had once been her lover tells her some interesting news and she gets a summons to Siren’s island. While things have been looking up in the recent past she has a lot of enemies some of whom want her soul and others who want her blood. If any one of them succeeds she will end up dead.

Cat Adams’ third novel “Demon Song” sees Celia the Siren’s business take off as she can enrage women and enthrall men. It seems that everyone wants an extremely capable and sexy half Siren and half vampire princess as a bodyguard. But an ancient rift between the world she lives in and the demonic dimension that had been buried when Atlantis was destroyed threatens to come back. If it is unleashed, it could release on humanity all the demons of Hell including a particular one that wants to see Celia dead. But given her recent experiences, she has some exceptional abilities that may make her the best person to close the rift threatening her world. But she will have to join forces with some very bad people if she is to overcome a death curse. By working with these people she may just put her loved ones in danger.
