Catherine Bilson is a historical romance and general romance fiction author and audiobook narrator best known for the “Blushing Brides” series of novels.

The author was brought up in North Wales, in an ancient manor from the 14th century. She spent much of her childhood and young adulthood coming up with stories she believed were of the people who once occupied the old house.
Soon after she was legally an adult, she ran off with a handsome Australian whom she proceeded to marry. Together with their children they now make their home in Queensland, where they get to enjoy the permanent sunshine.
Catherine published “The Best of Relations” her debut novel in 2015 and now has more than twenty titles to her name.

Apart from her Austin-inspired Regency romances, she is also the author of romantic suspense and contemporary romance as Caitlyn Lynch.

As for the origin of her writing, Catherine Bilson has often said that she started when she was just 5 years old.

However, while she wrote throughout her childhood and young adulthood, things would not be so easy once she was an adult and had to concentrate on making a living.
Over the years, she would hold several interesting careers including working as a silversmith, engineer, owner of an electrical goods store, and real estate sales agent.
Nonetheless, she always dreamed of one day achieving her dream of becoming a published fiction author.

Jane Austen had always been an author whose works she loved reading and hence it was not surprising that the first novel she penned was a reimagining of “Pride and Prejudice.”
Her fans and readers can get several free short fiction works in the fandom of “Pride and Prejudice” from her website.
Catherine also writes not-for-profit fanfiction works inspired by works from the Marvel Cinematic Universe.

While Catherine Bilson has now become a well-known and very popular romance fiction novelist, she has in recent times been making her name as an audiobook narrator.

She got into narrating when she narrated her books and it was not long before she learned that her background in acting put her in a good place to work as an audiobook narrator.

Since she writes romance, she has a passion and understanding of the genre and most of her narrations are in it. There have been many times when she has been told that she sounded like someone who escaped a BBC costume drama set.
Nonetheless, she sometimes reads science fiction and fantasy, thrillers, and mysteries and sometimes narrates those too. As it stands, she has narrated more than 70 audiobooks and shows no sign of slowing down any time soon.

Catherine Bilson’s “An Earl for Ellen” is a sweet Cinderella-like story that touches all the right spots when it comes to an excellent work of romance fiction.

When Thomas arrives in the United Kingdom to take over the Earldom of Havers, he soon realizes how life among the elite of the society can be disappointing.
This is made even more so given that in the United States, he had experienced a lot of equality between people from all strata of society.

After some time, he comes to realize that the daughter of the late vicar who is destitute is a distant cousin. He becomes determined to take care of her and ensure she gets the protection and safety she needs.
Unfortunately, most of his family members are not of that mind but Ellen Bentley is grateful for the support she gets from Thomas, even if it comes at a price.

It is not long before Ellen is everyone’s favorite at home and soon enough, she is welcomed by society too. For a while, Thomas has kept his distance but when she is threatened, he starts to realize his feelings for her.
It is a delightful story full of humor as two vastly different people come together hoping to defeat the schemes of an evil Countess.

“A Marquis for Marianne” by Catherine Bilson is a work set in 1810 that introduces a character named Marianne.
Alexander had promised that if he survived, he would always come back to her no matter what if only she waited for her.
The Marquis of Glenkellie’s promise was something of a pledge given that they had been friends ever since they were kids and he had never stopped loving her.
As he headed off to war, she had promised to wait for him given that they were so much in love.
They had such a sweet love story but as he headed off to war, they could never imagine that there was an evil lurking in the shadows determined to make Marianne his.
At some point, she is forced to get married to a man three times her age. The man proves very cruel and controlling since he takes advantage of the fact that Marianne’s father owes him a huge debt that he has no hope of repaying.
She lived a horrible life, beaten and abused for eight years until her husband died. Arthur the new Earl tries to control her just as her husband had but she is now wiser.
Meanwhile, Alexander is back and seems to have developed an inexplicable hatred for her.

Catherine Bilson’s novel “A Duke for Diana” is the fascinating romance story of Diana Creighton and Will Balford.
She had a humiliating experience when she fainted at the feet of the extremely eligible but handsome young duke while attending her first ball in the English capital London.
The city’s young bucks have now nicknamed her “The Fainting Flower,” which means her prospects could not have been worse.
As such, when Diana and Clarissa her sister are invited to accompany their aunt and uncle to Italy where they are going for a honeymoon, they cannot say no.
They enjoy the trip of a lifetime and can at least get away from the embarrassing gossip and the matchmaking machination of their mother.
But the arrogant duke who had humiliated her is among the very first people she meets in Venice, and she knows she cannot run fast or far enough to escape.
The Duke does not seem so arrogant or stuffy away from home and somehow she does not want to get away from him anymore.
