Celia Kyle is a New York Times bestselling author that writes erotic paranormal romance novels.

+Biography

Celia Kyle started writing seriously in 2006. She had entertained the idea earlier on in her life. But it wasn’t until 2006 that she decided to give the activity her full attention. The author would like to think she has lived a varied life.

Before attacking the publishing field, Celia was a dance teacher. She also worked as an accountant. And there was even a point in her life when she experimented with collectible dolls as a salesperson.

Suffice it to say, Celia Kyle came a long way before finally securing her place on New York Times and USA Today bestseller lists. The author has an affinity for the paranormal romance genre.

The author believes she has what it takes to succeed in other genres. But only the paranormal genre allows her to organically write about kickass heroes and heroines with strange mutations and complicated love lives.

Celia’s books are always brimming with hunky men whose penchant for getting furry seems to excite her readers. Audiences have also responded well to the big beautiful women in her novels. The author believes that the publishing arena would do well to experiment with female characters who might have more curves than the average lady, and she is leading the charge in that arena.

Sex is a central aspect of Celia Kyle’s books and most of her fans will tell you that a significant portion of her writing efforts is spent producing succulent and heart-pounding engagements of a sensual nature between her characters.

While things do get dark on occasion, the author endeavors to deliver happy endings for all her stories. But that is more or less expected of the paranormal romance genre. And the author never feels pressured to shake things up because most of her efforts are focused towards the self-publishing field.

Celia doesn’t think physical books have much of a future. She accepts that they are unlikely to fade away in the next few years. Yet she also knows that their popularity is declining at a rapid rate. That might explain why the author’s efforts are typically injected towards promoting her works as e-Books.

But Celia doesn’t think the development is particularly negative. If anything, the author is certain that the e-book self-publishing trend is a boon for aspiring writers that might be struggling to make it in the traditional publishing arena.

Celia Kyle has a passion for aspiring authors. She is always encouraging struggling writers to keep pursuing their dreams because that passion always pays off. But she also discourages them from being so enamored with their own manuscripts that they cannot see their mistakes.

Celia lives with her husband and their cats. Her satisfaction comes from writing stories that touch her readers’ hearts and bodies in interesting ways.

+No Ifs, Ands, or Bears about It

Mia was excited to start her new life in Grayslake. Her grandfather left her a house in Georgia and she did not know what to expect. When she finally gets there, though, she is less than enthused by her new home which not only looks rundown but is also brimming with boxes.

The bear cub in her pantry was by far the least shocking thing she encountered. Shortly after, the cub’s uncle came bursting in and, with its claws poised to strike, Mia didn’t think things could get any more bizarre.

But then a wearbear suddenly swooped in, rescued her, and tried to take her cub. But Mia won’t have any of it. She has laid claimed on the cub and no one can tell her otherwise.

Ty is a wearbear and he doesn’t know what to make of Grayslake newest resident, a curvaceous woman who, it turns out, has a bit of bear in her.

Ty is a clan leader in Grayslake and it is his responsibility to care for the little wearbear Mia found in her pantry. Ty tends to get his way. However, things are not so simple this time. Ty is initially happy to let Mia do as she pleases, especially seeing how happy the cub makes her. But then a threat arises and changes things.

If Ty wants to protect Mia and her cub, he must drag them both back to his den, and they don’t get a choice this time.

This is the first book in the Grayslake series. Celia Kyle tells the story of a woman who inherits her grandfather’s home. She stumbles upon a baby bear crying in her pantry. The bear turns out to be a shapeshifter, an orphan child with the power to become a bear.

The bear melts the woman’s heart. And when its uncle comes for it, seeing its terror drives the woman to keep the cub as her own despite the danger. The woman must rely on the help of a local wearbear clan’s leader for protection.

+He Ain’t Lion

Maya Josephs is a were-lion and a break-up has her feeling blue. Maya goes to Genesis hoping to lift her spirits. And that is exactly what happens when she meets Alex O’Connell, an alpha lion shifter and the owner of Genesis.

Maya won’t let up until she gets a taste of Alex.

This book is tiny. It also doesn’t take itself too seriously, with Celia Kyle leaning heavily on the sex and the rude language. There’s also a heavy dose of big women. While the book has been categorized as paranormal romance, there is very little in the way of romance.

If anything, it would be more accurate to call this story a paranormal comedy because the author strives to make it as hilarious as she possibly can. The goal is to deliver fluffy temporal amusement, this as opposed to a substantial literary meal.

The strength of this book lies in its short length. Because of the low page count, Celia, the author, gets to be as ridiculous as she wants without eliciting any noteworthy complaints. She doesn’t have to worry about building up her characters before throwing a sex scene their way.

She also doesn’t need to explain the misogynistic traits of her hero for people to sympathize with him. The book is designed to be a simple, fun, straightforward ride.
