Charles Whiting
Charles Whiting was a thriller writer who also wrote under his Duncan Harding, John Kerrigan, Klaus Konrad, Leo Kessler, and Ian Harding pen names. Born in York, England, Whiting went to Nunthorpe Grammar School before joining the British Army at the age of sixteen. He served under the 52nd Reconnaissance Regiment before later going to Hollard, France, Germany, and Belgium, where the second world war was in its last stages.
