Chip Bell is one of the well-recognized authors from the United States of America, who has contributed to a number of highly successful books in his literary career. He is known to have an interest in writing novels based on the thriller, mystery, and suspense genres. The real name of author Bell is Charles L. Bell Jr. Currently, he resides in the City of New Kensington in Pennsylvania, United States. His family is comprised of his beautiful wife named Linda and a couple of lovely daughters named Jessica and Jennifer. Apart from being a noteworthy author, Bell is also a practicing lawyer, who specializes in personal injury litigation. The main law office of author Bell is located in Arnold, Pennsylvania. Author Bell was born on 23rd February, 1950, in the Harrison Township in Pennsylvania. He spent most of his growing years in Tarentum, Pennsylvania and also completed his high school graduation from the Tarentum High School in the year 1968. Later, he enrolled himself at the Allegheny College, located in Meadville, Pennsylvania. After studying there for 4 years between 1968 and 1972, author Bell completed his graduation as a Magna Cum Laude and Phi Beta Kappa. Immediately after his graduation, he went on to serve in the U.S. Army. After serving there for a couple of years, he came back and joined the Duquesne University Law School. Again author Bell graduated with Cum Laude in the year 1979.

After becoming an attorney, he started practicing law as an attorney of personal injury trial. Bell had joined a small law firm at that time that comprised of Rosenberg, Pizzi, Sewak, and Bell. He was associated with the firm between the years 1979 and 2002. During all these years, the firm grew multiple folds and became a reputed law firm. After leaving the firm, author Bell began working as a sole practitioner and till date he continues to do so in conjunction with his writing career. Author Bell is associated with the America Justice Association as an active member. This group was previously known as the American Trial Lawyers Association. He is also related as an active member with the Pennsylvania Justice Association, which was formerly known as the Association of Trial Lawyers of Pennsylvania. Author Bell has even served as one of the Board of Governors of this association between the years 1988 and 1990. Other than this, Bell is also associated with the Trial Lawyers Association of Western Pennsylvania and has also served on their Governors’ Board in the year 1988. Author Bell is one of the founders and a former president of the Southern Pennsylvania Trial Lawyers Academy. Along with all these associations, he is also related to a number of other major law firms in the country. Throughout his law career, author Bell has always been active and alert for serving justice. As an author, Bell has successfully written and published the Jake Sullivan novel series. The debut book of this series was published in the year 2011 under the title of ‘Come Monday’. Following the immense success of this book, author Bell wrote a few more books, which also became fairly successful over the years. As of today, he is working on the development of the story of the next book in the thriller series.

The Jake Sullivan series written by author Chip Bell is comprised of a total of 9 books, which were released between the years 2011 and 2016. All the books in this intriguing novel series feature the main protagonist in the form of a chief prosecuting attorney named Jake Sullivan. The first book of this series is titled as ‘Come Monday’, which was published by the Word Association publication in the year 2011. The central theme of this book revolves around the trouble that happens in Margaritaville. At the beginning scene, author Bell has introduced Jake Sullivan as a chief prosecuting lawyer. He is shown as having everything in his life, starting from a dream job at the dream location of the Justice Department’s Miami Office, a loving and caring family, and also some very good friends. The people who knew Jake would often describe him as a man of strong moral streak, similar to that of a bulldog. However, no one seemed to have any knowledge of what was about to come into his life. Soon, Jake Sullivan takes up a high profile case, anticipating that he would have a professional and moral victory. But, due to his obsession with the involved crimes’ nature and his drinking problems, his judgment gets clouded. As a result, the case gets thrown out of the court and eventually, a cold-blooded murderer is set free. On realizing his mistake, Jake gets mired and shattered in self-pity. He withdraws from all his relationships, including his family members and moves to Key West. There, he starts a small law firm that deals in the cases involving marine insurance companies. On one occasion, he stumbles upon a secret meeting between the serial killer and the Attorney General named Benjamin Matthews, the man who forced him to resign. In the following plot, Jake is shown is fighting for his redemption and unravelling a dangerous plot involving many prominent personalities from the White House.

The next installment in the Jake Sullivan series is titled as ‘Trying to Reason With Hurricane Season’. It was also published in 2011 by the same publisher. In this book, author Bell has depicted that President Jordan enters into a negotiation with Cuba in relation to a historical treaty. The final signing is scheduled to take place in Miami after a few months. As President Jordan has a past relationship with Jake Sullivan in the previous matter of Benjamin Matthews, he asks him to coordinate the signing ceremony. When Jake begins his job along with his friend named Mike Lang, he learns about the death of Benjamin Matthew in prison due to a heart attack. At around the same time, Mike and Jake also come to know that a plot has been planned to assassinate the President along with Fidel Castro and his brother Raul during the signing ceremony of the treaty. Immediately, Jake Sullivan sets off to diffuse the plan with the help of the experts of threat analysis from the Secret Service, Paul Cortez and Jonathan Clark. During the course of his dedicated attempt, Jake comes to know about a mysterious assassin by the name of ‘The Agent’. Tension continues to build as the assassin is still roaming free in the city and the signing date comes closer. Finally, Jake becomes successful in coming face to face with The Agent, but then realizes that he is just a small part of a greater threat. In the end, the novel moves towards an explosive finish as Jake tries extremely hard to save the lives of President Jordan Fidel and Raul Castro, along with the signing of the historic treaty.
