Almost every book that he puts his pen on turns to be a fast paced page turner, with some of the of the books such as the Tilt a Whirl from the the John Ceepak Mystery series being quite an interesting and an intriguing book;
In the Tilt a Whirl book, there seems to be no much sun in the fun when some real estate billionaire is found killed on the Tilt a whirl beside a theme park in Sea aven, which is otherwise a quiet summer tourist town. Well, John Ceepak is just back from Iraq and has joined the police department at Sea Heaven. Apparently the police job offer a came from an army buddy who hoped to give John at least summer season worth of rest and a relaxation to help him forget those horrors from Iraq war. However, he ends up being at the top of the investigation of that murder case. John then partners with a 24 year old part time summer police Danny Boyle, who does not carry any gun but only works during the day in order to get some pocket money to aid night life with his beach friends .Well, the Tilt a whirl events pushes Ceepak’s sense of honor and integrity to the edge and unexpectedly twists and turns keeps the truth spinning so much almost in every direction.
Another Chris Grabenstein’s book that is part of the Ceepak Mystery series is the Mad Mouse. Well, this is a sequel to the Tilt a whirl. In the book it is Labour day and the end of summer which may as well mean the end to someone’s life. A young part time summer policw, Danny Boyle is down the shore in the sea heaven, in New Jersey lands a wild ride when him together with his long time beach friend becomes the target of some mad man’s misconstrued desire to revenge. Luckily, John Ceepak, a cop and a former soldier with an shakable code of honor, remains at Danny’s side to help him negotiate the turns and twists that are threatening to destroy Danny’s life and his fries as well as everything that Danny loves.This books keeps you on a whirlwind of events from the beach to the board walk, back and forth till the end.
