The series “Occupied Seattle” consists of the following two books; ’Red Tide’’ and ’Occupied Seattle’’.

In the first book of series, called ’Red Tide’’, Chinese invasion of Seattle is described. For many decades China intended to reintegrate the province of Taiwan, but first, is must go into war with the province. So, what is the reason that kept China from reinvading Taiwan for so many years?

The plot of the book has a lot of historical influences, including the historical event of Pearl Harbor invasion by Japan, which serves as an alarm for not letting it happen once again, only this time with China and Seattle.

Chris Kennedy manages to relate the possibility of war between United States and China and the invasion of Seattle by Chinese in the future with the problems caused by nowadays government sequestration.

The detailed description of events in the book will be especially appealing for people who have some military background. It is apparent that the author’s military background was effectively used in the writing of the book. Yet, it is easy and comprehensive for those readers who have no notion about military science at all.

In the second book of “Occupied Seattle” series China has already managed to occupy cities of Seattle and Tacoma by conducting a surprise attack. Moreover, the Chinese military forces have captured six American nuclear warheads and intend to use them on American land in order to keep the United States out of the war. All the citizens of United States hope that riding on a shot-down F-18 pilot, a retired Navy Seal, and a platoon of Army Rangers will save the situation.

This second book becomes more engaging with the description of all military tactics and strategies which will enable the American Army Rangers to gain Seattle and Tacoma back, and what is more important, prevent the disaster of using nuclear warheads in the soil of United States. It is an action book with thrilling and fantastic developing plot. ’Occupied Seattle’’ book tells in details about the steps of the American courageous military forces used not only to defend the U.S citizens and gain their cities back, but also to thwart the Chinese attack on Taiwan.

The characters of the book, depicted by the author in depth, are wise and master their job perfectly. The whole story is fast paced and full of non-stop actions, so one can read it at one breath.
