Darby suspects Fletcher to be working with Emma’s father and believes that he knows the connection between the death of the two girls as well as the killer. She comes across deadly secrets while trying to bring the criminal to justice. Chris Mooney got the inspiration to write this novel from an image in which he imagines Darby McCormick to be looking through a Boston penthouse when the lights go off suddenly. Darby turns around to find Fletcher standing behind her in the dark. Chris developed the entire novel based on this imagination. I picked up Diviant Ways just to listen to while gardening and driving in my car. I could not wait to listen anytime I had the chance. In a matter of 3 weeks I had listened to 4 more the Darby McCormick series. Love Chris Mooney’s books like I do James Patterson. I feel like I stumbled upon a gold mine and am telling anyone I know that likes mysteries to give him a try. Very happy reader.
