Christie Craig is one of the acclaimed authors from America, who likes to write romance and romantic suspense books. She is particularly famous for writing the Divorced and Desperate book series. In addition to writing romance novels under her original name, author Craig also the pseudonym of C.C. Hunter for writing young adult and fantasy novels. One such young adult novel series written by her is called as Shadow Falls. Author Christie was born and brought up in Alabama. She was interested in cherishing the beauty of the nature from a very young and liked to catch lightning bugs, bullfrogs, and run around barefoot. Craig always believes in living life to the fullest and enjoying each day with new energy. As C.C. Hunter, she debuted with the book, Turned at Dark, which came out in the year 2011. Apart from being a talented author, Craig is also an avid photojournalist and speaker. She has published multiple books, photojournalist works, involved in motivational speaking, and teaching, and has won numerous awards throughout her career. The nonfiction photography and articles of author Craig have featured in more than 3000 national magazines.

Craig has been a finalist for the Golden Heart Award, and more than 50 contests sponsored by the RWA. Over the years, author Craig has gained a lot of reputation by writing romance stories that have both a sexy, suspenseful tone and witty humor. During the 1990s, Craig’s books were published by the Silhouette publication. Recently, she has returned back to fiction and has made a record 4 book sale in a single day. In writing one of her nonfiction books, author Craig collaborated with Faye Hughes. The Shadow Falls is an urban fantasy series that Craig wrote under the pen name of C.C. Hunter. This series features the lead character in the role of a 16 year old teenage girl named Kyle Galen. In the starting sequence of this series, Kyle Galen is shown as being sent to the camp of Shadow Falls. When she reaches the Shadow Falls, she becomes surprised to find that the camp is full of supernaturals. Kyle Galen feels that she has to find her own powers. While doing so, she has to deal with the spirits who frequently visit her. The characters other than Kyle Galen depicted in the series include Derek Lakes, Lucas Parker, Della Rose Tsang, Miranda Kane, Mario Esparza, Roberto Esparza, Collin Warren, John Anthony Esparza, etc. Derek Lakes is one of the love interests of Kyle Galen. He possesses the power to control and sense emotions, communicate with the animals and erase memories. When Kyle turns down his relationship, he forms a friendship bond with her. Later, Derek comes in contact with another chameleon called Jenny Yates and falls in love with her. Lucas Parker is depicted as a possessive and stubborn werewolf. He shares a past life with Kyle that he keeps hidden as a secret. Lucas meets Kyle for the first time when both of them were small. Since then, he has developed an affection towards Kyle. But, he gets separated from her and meets again after a period of 11 years when Kyle Galen visits the camp. Just like the first novel series that Craig wrote, this series too was very much liked by the readers all across the globe.

The Divorced and Desperate series written by Christie Craig is comprised of a total of 6 books, which were released between the years 2007 and 2015. An initial book of this series is entitled ‘Divorced, Desperate, and Dating’. It was released by the Love Spell publication in the year 2008. Author Craig has described the central characters in this novel as Jason Dodd and Sue Finely. At the start of the book, Sue Finely is introduced as a writer of mystery novels. She seems to have the knowledge of every aspect of a murder. However, the only thing that she could have understand is men. She thinks of dating as a chocolate box, in which the sweetest specimens turn out to be candy coated poison. Sue has had bad experiences in the past with men. She had a fallen relationship with a robber as well as a divorce. Now, she does not have any interest in men. But, things begin to change for good with the arrival of Jason Dodd in her life. He works as a detective. As Jason was brought up in foster homes, he did not wish to have anyone in life more than his parents who abandoned him when he was small. This is the reason why Jason Dodd did not follow up when he received a passionate kiss. Jason could not resist to help Sue Finley when someone gives her death threats. She too needed Jason the most in such desperate times.

Another interesting book published in the series is titled as ‘Divorced, Desperate, and Deceived’. It was released in 2009 by the Dorchester publication. This novel features the lead characters in the form of Luke Hunter and Kathy Callahan. Author Craig has set the story in Texas, United States. At the beginning of the story, Kathy Callahan is introduced as the last living member of the Divorced club. A couple of her divorced friends gave up the chastity vows and went to enjoy hot sex with cops and second marriages. Kathy can never think of doing anything like this. However, she does feel a sense of attraction towards her plumber named Stan Bradley. Kathy finds her a hardworking and honest man. The best laid plans of Kathy Callahan are about take shocking turns. She discovers that the man who fixes her drains is not what he appears to be. He appears to be handier with the pistol than a wrench. Due to this, Kathy wonders whether she is going to witness more action in her life. In the next 48 hours, both Kathy and Stan experience hot pursuit, perky pug, and hotter passion. And if they survive the escapade, they see a future filled with happiness and passionate love.
