Within the confines of complacency, there exists this boring, beautiful kind of peace, and Khalida has discovered it. Welcomes it, to be precise. There wasn’t any generous and kind dad to care for and protect her from the Vegas which exists beyond the glamour and glitz of The Strip. And there wasn’t any doting, wise mom to guide her and look over her, passing down the essential lessons and leading her down the right path. And definitely no Prince Charming right around the corner, ready to rescue her from working late nights to cover her steadily rising bills.
However she is still alive. Overwhelmed with responsibility that she never asked for, carrying scars and secrets which haunt her, and is singularly focused on this uncertain plan to escape, but still alive.
In Vegas, King is precisely what his name implies. Born into influence and money, yet respected and feared, in his own right. The privileges of wealth have afforded him so many things: power, freedom, and eligibility, as he’s simultaneously exposed to others: manipulation, betrayal, and exploitation.
However he learned. The tolls of vengeance, duplicity, and wrath have taught him about being more shrewd, more mindful, to steer clear of the vulnerability of certain situations, certain places, certain business deals, and certain women. Like Asha. Like attracts like.
Her poker face has kept her alive all this time now, and he keeps his cards close to his chest. Neither one is interested in gambling their hearts, however when they cannot keep away from one another, there is just a single choice: ante up.
“I Think I Might Love You” is the first novel in the “Love Sisters” series and was released in 2019. Jaclyn Love is a magnet for trouble, as it would seem that it follows her wherever she goes.
Unfortunately for Kadan Davenport, she also appears to be a magnet for him, too, even after a disastrous first impression that leaves him for black and blue, literally. Jaclyn is busy attempting to find some kind of balance, and Kadan is only attempting to get all swept up in the chaos.
In a tiny city like Blakewood, it is tough to avoid one another, particularly when each additional encounter they have makes them truly wonder if they actually want to.
“Maybe Next Time” is the first novel in the “Vegas Nights” series and was released in 2021. For better or worse.
That was the promise that Kensa and Denver made each other, however it is a sentiment they have somehow lost along the way. What began as a passionate wildfire has diminished to just a flicker, all but snuffed out by perceived betrayal, some unspoken fears, and a total breakdown in communication.
Can either one of them tuck away their ego just long enough to rekindle their flame?
