About Christine Kersey

A well known novelist writing much loved romance titles, Christine Kersey is highly regarded for her unique brand of bestselling fiction. Largely writing for a Young Adult audience, she has managed to find a niche market, saying precisely what it is that she wants to say. Reaching a large amount of readers from all around the world, she has an audience that continues to grow day by day. Her writing stands out as some of the best of its genre, as she clearly understands the format and conventions well, really making them her own.

Her novels are also well regarded for their use of suspense, keeping readers glued to the page for the duration of each book. This compelling style that she’s adopted is definitely something that ensures she stands out from other writers within her field. Writing with a sense of heart and warmth too, she always ensures that each of her stories has a real sense of humanity to them. Setting herself apart from other writers within her field, she definitely stands out, saying something completely different.

Creating compelling characters too, she has managed to establish a number of iconic protagonists over the course of her career. Many of them ensure that the readers come back time and time again, as they really feel as if they get to know and care about them. Early and Personal Level

Always interested in literature from early on, Christine Kersey would focus on reading and writing from an early age. Continuing this fascination on into her adult life, she would start to write her first novel back in 1997 after getting her first computer. Studying Information Technology, she would gain a B.S. Degree in the subject back in 2004, and would go on to work for a medical software company until 2013.

Later she would use her computer skills to help operate her own indie publishing business, managing her e-books and online presence. Turning to writing full-time in 2013, she would realize her lifelong dream of becoming an author, and hasn’t looked back since. Currently living with her husband, they have four grown children, as she visits national parks, all whilst continuing to write on a regular basis.

Writing Career

The first novel that Christine Kersey would write was titled ‘Suspicions,’ and this would be a stand-alone title. She would follow up with another stand-alone title released not long after, and this would be called ‘No Way Out.’ This book would be published with an indie publisher in 2005, but she would later gain the rights back herself, publishing it as an e-book as well.

Later she would come to write several ongoing series as well, ensuring her readers would keep returning for more. Series such as ‘Lily’s Story,’ ‘Over You,’ ‘Parallel,’ ‘Fair Catch,’ and Pandemic’ would be just some of the franchises she would offer. Maintaining a strong presence both online and off, she continues to write to this present day from her own office with her own publishing company.

Blindsided

Originally brought out for the Kindle back in 2017, this would first come out on the 26th of July for an already eager audience. The third title in the ‘Fair Catch’ series, the books follow on from each other thematically, but not in terms of narrative, as they’re all stand-alone. Set around the lives and loves of different fictional NFL stars, it follows them and their relationships as they go about finding love.

Hank Parson is an NFL running-back and single dad, looking after his four year old daughter Harper, as she’s been sent to stay with him along with her nanny. The nanny, Mari, immediately bonds with Hank, as the two of them share a real chemistry together, along with the fact she really cares for Harper. That’s when Hank’s ex-wife, who sent them there, realizes she just as easily take them away, with Mari being out of Hank’s life for good. Will they be able to overcome this together, can they become a family for good, and what will happen when they’re blindsided?

It’s a heartfelt story filled with real characters that the reader can easily relate to, making this an engaging book. The relationship itself really does come to life upon the page, as the audience finds themselves fully immersed in the world. It’s a straightforward clean romance novel that’s instantly accessible for everyone, making it an extremely easy book to pick up.

Love at Last

This time published through the ‘Wind Chimes Publishing’ imprint, this would arrive on the literary scene in 2014. Coming out on the 9th of January, it would be the third book in the ‘Lily’s Story’ series of books, with it following on from the previous titles. It’s best that the books are read in order so as to gain the most from the series, as each title features important plot points from the previous books.

Settling into her new home with her daughter, Lily has survived the battle with husband Trevor, as she’s moved to California Central Valley. Helping her through her ordeal is Marcus, and Lily feels that she wants to take things further with him, but he just wants to remain friends. Now Lily craves happiness, as she doesn’t want to be alone, looking and hoping for finally finding the love of another. Will she finally be able to get it, can she make a new life for herself and her daughter, and is she going to find love at last?

Featuring an extremely realistic look at abusive relationships, this book is an authentic and grounded story. The narrative itself isn’t difficult to handle though, as the book itself doesn’t feature any profanity or sexual scenes, just focusing on the psychology of the characters themselves. It’s a well written book that allows the reader to really feel as if they’re a part of it, with characters and situations the really resonate.
