Christine Warren is a New York Times and USA Today bestselling author who writes novels in the paranormal romance genre. She has written a number of short stories, online stories, Gargoyles Series novels and The Others series novels with the latter one being her first and the most successful series of novels till date. ‘The Others’ series consists of a total of 16 different novels based on the romance genre which she began writing in the year 2008. The latest book in the series is about to be released later in the year 2015. Christine was born in the coastal New England. Although she has spent most of her childhood days in her hometown in New England, Christine has traveled to a lot of places like South and Mid-Atlantic, Pacific Northwest, etc. She believes that she did not want to get landlocked at one place, hence she kept changing places. This was also her idea of exploring new places in search of stories to write. She spent around four years of her teenage in her parents’ hometown in New Jersey, where she attended her college.

Christine says that this was the time when she stepped out of Southern Connecticut for the first time. She completed her graduation with a double major in English Literature and European History. Christine was hoping of becoming a historian and a university professor as she was a medievalist, a specialist in the Scottish Wars of Independence. However, she did not find the idea of becoming a historian too exciting and decided to do something else. She became the manager of a fine craft gallery for a couple of years in a town on the border of Pennsylvania and New Jersey. After spending another couple of years in Tennessee, Christine moved back to New Jersey to start her career in medical education. During this time, she began reading romantic novels in free time and had totally fallen in love with the genre. She was so tempted by the romance genre that she decided to write her own novels.

Christine used to write something or the other as a hobby in her school days, but did not go on digging them up. Rather, she decided to make a fresh start of her writing career. Her belief of doing something different helped her to finish writing her first book, which she self-published in an e-book format. It took her five more years to become a full-time author. All these years, she had to do a lot of other jobs to earn her living but did not give up writing. Christine believes that she had to undergo through a lot hardships to become a writer and says it was her hard work, dedication and persistence that kept her going. She does not regret about the careers that she gave up on becoming an author as she enjoys being a successful one. She now lives in the Pacific Northwest along with her dogs and a horse. When not writing, Christine loves to hang out with her dogs, Levi and Merlin and the horse, Cal. She loves to spend time with her best friend, Hannah Murray, who is also an author. Christine enjoys studying about dog breeds, shopping for Christian Louboutin shoes, appreciating different types of wines and reading the reviews of her works.

The first novel written by Christine Warren in ‘The Others’ series was titled ‘One Bite With A Stranger’ and was published in the year 2008 by the St. Martin’s Press. The novel depicts the story of the main characters Regina McNeill and Dmitri Vidame. The plot of the novel opens up when Regina gets dumped by her boyfriend, who cheats on her her for someone else. Regina’s friends insist her to get over it by setting a ‘Fantasy Fix’. However, she dreams of someone out of the world and believes that her friends will not be able to find her a match of her dreams. Her friends dress her up in a shiny black corset, sexy pair stilettos and tight leather pants and head for the vampire-fantasy fun in downtown. They visit the Vampire Ball in the East Village of Manhattan, where Dmitri Vidame is a council member. He has the responsibility of governing the Others and has to keep an eye on the young vampires who try to hunt the pretenders. He sees Regina at the bar and falls for her fiery appearance. He finds her as more than a match for himself and decides to have her. Regina also finds Dmitri Vidame as the perfect partner that she had always hoped for. However, she and her friends discover that Dmitri Vidame is actually a vampire and has bloodsucking secret. The novel takes an interesting turn from here and the plot undergoes several twists and turns that keep the readers turning the pages after pages. The success of the novel can be understood from the unique description of the characters and the interesting plot. However, she was human and Graham belonged to the Silverback werewolf clan. Missy kept hiding her identity of being a human to avoid any danger to her life. The Silverback werewolf clan was unaware of the existence of Missy. Graham develops a love interest in Missy when they collide with each other at a party and she runs away from him. Graham begins to think of her as his mate but has to convince his clan as she is human. He has to face the difficult challenge of keeping her safe from his enemies. Fun, if somewhat simplistic at time. Too many have the same basic plot, but still good reads. Just make sure you read them in CHRONOLOGICAL order!!! Yes, this does put better written books before her earlier, less polished but the overall arc is best this way.
