Sawyer Bennett is a best-selling author and has topped the charts of best-sellers lists for publications that include USA Today, the New York Times, and the Wall Street Journal.

The author uses experience from her real life to come up with stories that are relatable and can also appeal to many readers. Sawyer writes everything from general fiction to women’s fiction, fantasy romance, contemporary romance and more, so there is always something for just about anyone no matter who you are to enjoy!

Before becoming an author, Sawyer worked as a trial lawyer in North Carolina. She enjoys bringing her fiction to life, but when she is not busy with that, she is busy serving as a maid, stylist, chef, personal assistant and more to her daughter, who she says is ‘adorable’. She also similarly serves as a full-time maid to her dogs, who she describes as being ‘wonderfully naughty’.

Sawyer Bennett is the creator and author of the Chronicles of the Stone Veil series of fictional novels. The series technically began with the publication of the first book in the series, but also contains a novella titled The Clash of Yesterday which can be read as a companion novel to the series or as a stand-alone. The first book in the series came out in 2021 and is titled The Revelation of Light and Dark. More of the books came out that year, including the second book A Discovery of Secrets and Fate, the third novel The Evolution of Fae and Gods, the fourth novel A Battle of Blood and Stone, and the fifth novel The Rise of Fortune and Fury. The sixth novel came out in 2022 and is titled The Shadow Princess. It is followed by the seventh novel, The Midnight Realm, and the eighth novel, The Ruin of Gods.

The Revelation of Light and Dark is the first book in the Chronicles of the Stone Veil series by Sawyer Bennett. If you have been searching for a unique fantasy story to enjoy, give this one a try!

For main character Finley, she always knew that she was different. This started from when she was very young, where she recalls her mind being bothered with things that only she could see. Some of the things that she saw were beautiful, while other things she saw were actually terrifying.

Finley was never able to know if the visions that she was having were thoroughly real or if they were hallucinations that were being caused by something she couldn’t put her finger on. Finley learned eventually how she could lock these troubling visions down and ultimately ignore them. She had to do it in order to get by and be ‘normal’ like everyone else.

The young girl learned to simply get along with being anonymous in the city and to enjoy finding the peace on those rainy days that Seattle is famous for having. Finley’s doing well, and it appears that her life is getting on track again and it’s even appearing like she can achieve her dreams. But a weak moment causes her to learn a lesson quickly and with difficulty, and that is that her whole existence has been a lie.

It’s not something easy to deal with, but there Finley is. Now she has to contend with a new reality that is as fantastical as it is seemingly implausible. After all, realms, veils, light, dark, daemons, fae, gods, angels– these are all the things of storybooks. It’s something that Finley does not understand at all but has to acknowledge.

She’s also got a new partner when it comes to contending with all of this. Carrick Byrne is one of the most handsome men in Seattle, not to mention one of the most rich and powerful. He’s teaching her all about the gifts that Finley has that are unique to her. She’s annoyed by him and intrigued at the same time as being intimidated. She does not trust him, but there isn’t anyone else that’s showing up to help her either.

As things go on, Finley becomes less certain about where she should put her faith or what she should believe. She doesn’t even know how she fits into this thing, but she does know one thing for certain. That the world she used to know and take for granted will never be the same for her again. Can she adapt and learn to fit into this new world? Read this book and continue on with the rest of the series to find out!

A Discovery of Secrets and Fate is the second book in the Chronicles of the Stone Veil series by Sawyer Bennett. If you like this book, check out the rest in this series as they are best enjoyed in order!

Finley’s life as she was familiar with it ended the same day that she accepted her fate. Left in its place to fill the void is the type of life that even someone with an active imagination would likely never come up with. Finley has since found out that odd creatures are among us, some of them even plotting humanity’s demise. She’s come to discover that the world’s fate is up to her.

With everyone in danger, Finley’s just doing her best to try and find out how she can make it through the day. Then there’s Carrick Byrne, the key to her surviving, and a man that she just can’t figure out. He may be as dangerous as a dark fae, but she has to work with him if she wants to stop a prophecy that is foretelling the downfall of humanity.

The only problem is that Carrick is her only information source, and he tells her what he wants to. Carrick scares and intrigues her equally, but she’s also attracted to him. The more she finds out, the more it becomes apparent he may feel the same. The pair go looking for answers in Faere, but everything they find only sparks more questions, which leads to a different part of the puzzle. They also find out they can’t trust anyone.

Carrick and Finley are realizing that if they want to save the world, they’re going to have to do it together. Will they be successful? Read this fantasy to find out!
