Cindy Gerard was born in a small town, where only around 750 people lived. Everyone knew each other over there and it was really a family like environment which helped Cindy a lot in his career.She tried her hand in many different activities like basketball, baseball and cheer leading. She was also a very keen reader of books. Her town had a small library where she used to spend a lot of time over there. She has read almost every book the library could her. It was her favorite past time.

Despite being fond of books, she never really wanted to be a writer. She thought of becoming a veterinarian or a nurse. The prospect of becoming a teacher also crossed her mind. However, she had no idea that right after high school she would end up getting married and move to a big city.

Before writing her first book, Cindy worked as a trainer in the lowa Department of Human Services. From helping families in emergency situations, assisting her staff with their jobs and meeting deadlines- her job was quite hectic. Finally, she decided to write a book. When she started writing, she didn’t even think of selling the book. Her main job was just to finish it. After being successful with her first book, she realized that she should write more. Currently, she has more than twenty books and also has numerous awards.

Cindy’s life as a trainer in the Department of Human Service has really taught her many things about the human condition, human spirit and how strong a person can be. Her writing celebrates the different kind of emotions life has to offer- pain and sorrow, hope and anger, joy and obviously love. According to her readers, her writing clearly reflects some of her work experiences.

Her beautiful writing skill has earned her a place in many bestsellers lists. She also earned several awards and nominations throughout her career- including a National Reader’s Choice Award and also two RITA nominations.

She is happily married to Tom, who is a cowboy. Both Cindy and Tom really love their horses and gardening as well. In addition to the horses, they also have two dogs named Ellie and Boomer.

Cindy Gerard’s BlackOps series has been very successful. The first book in that series ” Show No Mercy”, tells us about a journalist Jenna who has been kidnapped and held captive by a group of terrorists. Only two things can get her back to her home at Buenos Aries- an interview with Maxim who is a millionaire and the memory of the guy who has saved her before. Gabriel Jones on the other hand is a warrior and spent many years in the military. After a personal loss, he has become really depressed and spends his life doing missions and combats. He, along with some other members of BlackOps has been trusted with the responsibility to take care of Maxim. It was also a good coincidence for them, because they were also watching Maxim for suspected terrorist links.

While Jenna was conducting the interview with Maxim, a bomb exploded. Fortunately, Gabriel succeeded to save Jenna but badly injured himself as a result. After they found out that Jenna and not Maxim is the target, Jenna was forced to stay with the BlackOps. However, a dangerous enemy was stalking them and wanted to kill both of them. After that, things really get exciting and a lot of things starts happening. While Jenna and Gabe was busy trying to protect themselves from the enemies, their strong feelings for each other take the center stage and Cindy has successfully managed to portray the sexual tension between the two.

” Show No Mercy” is brilliantly written. A powerful male hero, brilliant locations, excitement, drama, thrilling action scenes, creepy villains-it had all the elements that you need in a romantic suspense book. Alongside the story, there is also a cute romance going on between the two leads, which really adds a layer of emotion to the story. The book also takes you through a lot of emotions. At times you will feel sad, angry and there will also be times where you feel surprised or happy. Overall, this is a great book and a brilliant introduction to the series.

Cindy Gerard continues the BlackOps series with another fantastic book named ” Take No Prisoners”. After a disappointing divorce, Abbie Hughes is completely broken and no longer has faith in any men. She spends her time going to school, worrying about her young brother and also works as a Vegas Blackjack dealer. However, everything changes when she meets Sam Lang who arrived at her bar. Sam looked like a nice, good looking men but he turned out to be much more than that. He is a retired BlackOps member and is looking to for an international gangster named Nader who has killed his sister. Sam’s leads has brought him to this cafe and he firmly believes that Abbie and her younger brother knows Nader and are involved with him in a gem smuggling business. In order to find Nader, Sam decided to get close to Abbie. But he got attracted to Abbie and was convinced that Abbie was not involved in the killing of his sister. However one day, Abbie’s younger brother Cory went missing in Honduras and both of them, along with the entire BlackOps went looking after him. The BlackOps team wanted to use Abbie as a bait but Sam was now willing to protect her. Cindy ended the book with a cliffhanger and showed us a glimpse of the couple’s future.

” Take No Prisoners” is a brilliant addition to the series. The hero in this book Sam was as good as the previous hero Gabriel. Full of action and suspense, thrilling car chases and full of bad guys all looking to outsmart each other- this book always manages to keep us engaged. In spite of all the action, Cindy has gifted us with some brilliant love scenes. Overall, this is a great book and a must if you are love reading action books.

   Is “When somebody loves you” one of your books?
   I came across the title recently in a list of all your books but cant find any reference to it and would like to know the story and hopefully buy it through amazon

     That book exists however it is just a collection of two existing books which are Temptation from the Past and Slow Burn and are listed above.

   I have Loved your BOI series for ages…. I kept waiting for you to add to it…. Well, I discovered some of your other writing projects…. I am very excited to start reading
