Author Clare Connelly was raised in a tiny country town in Australia. Surrounded by rickety ancient timber houses, rain forests, magic was heavy in the air, and stories and storytelling were a major part of her childhood.

Early on in life, Clare found that all of her favorite books were romance stories, and she read voraciously. Anything like Mills & Boon to Jane Austen to Georgette Heyer, and, more recently, the “50 Shades” trilogy. She is a romance devotee.

At around the age of fifteen, she tried to pen a novel, and was about a glamorous fashion model that fell foul of a high-end designer. Clothes flew, as did the sparks, and a love was born.

Clare’s long time wishes to be published led to her first book being released, though it was definitely not the first one that she wrote. The book was released in the year 2014, and was called “The Italian Billionaire’s Betrayal”. Her work is from the romance genre.

She writes the “Sheikhs’ Brides” series, the “Casacelli Family Saga”, the “Clare Connelly Sheikhs” series, the “Henderson Sisters” series, the “Evermore” series, and the “Hometown Hero” series.

Had writing not panned out for her, Clare would have pursued her second greatest career love: food. She grew up working in some wonderful kitchens and read cookbooks her entire life as though they were novels. She even worked on cooking blogs and with one of the doyennes of Australian cookery. Clare still indulges the passion she has for French cuisine any time she is able to. This passion of hers is totally at odds with the type 1 diabetes and it requires her to reign in at times.

She met her own hero when she was just seventeen years old. They lived and traveled together for a decade, and were married in a fairy tale ceremony attended by their nephews, friends, birdlife, family, wisps of clouds and the magic of the mountains, and piskies. If she isn’t chasing after some rather energetic small kids, or wiping fingerprints off the furniture, she is either thinking about writing, wishing she were writing, or actually writing.

“The Sheikh’s Baby Bargain” is the first novel in the “Evermore” series, which was released in the year 2018. Sheikh Rafiq Al-Khalil has zero interest in his bride of convenience. A year into the couple’s cold marriage, he needs an heir desperately. Only for his kingdom’s sake, he has to strike a bargain with his wife. To make this marriage of theirs a real one.

Chloe knew what she would be getting into when she married Ras el Kida’s enigmatic ruler and their deal was one that suited her fine. He proposes a change to their relationship, and Chloe is unable to resist, and that heat that is humming between them is threatening to explode.

What was once a cold marriage of convenience turns to red hot passion, but just for the sake of an heir.

Once you start this one, you will have a tough time putting it back down until you have finished it. Some readers finished the book in just a single day, they were that entranced with all of it. It is a beautifully written romance that has a compelling storyline.

“The Greek’s Virgin Captive” is the second novel in the “Evermore” series, which was released in the year 2018. Undercover journalist Eleanor Jones published a story, three years ago, that eventually led to the heart attack that claimed the life of Apollo’s dad. When the Greek billionaire finds out that she is working in his sister’s palace, he knows for certain that she is up to no good!

Unwilling to risk more harm coming to his family, he kidnaps Eleanor, and takes her to his remote Greek island. Turquoise ocean, white sand, and all the privacy you could want in the world. If only he could resist falling under the spell Eleanor puts on him twice!

Eleanor had fallen for Apollo pretty hard, which made it impossible to write the story that she had been hired to research. Rather than betray the guy she loved, she quit working as a junior reporter. Her editor took the notes she had made and used them to publish the one article that would define Eleanor’s career as a journalist.

Apollo is never going to forgive her for the part she played in his dad’s death, but that is not to say he does not want her. Will the innocent Eleanor be able to find a way around Apollo’s heart, which he keeps heavily shielded and be able to remind him of the feelings they once had for one another?

This is an enjoyable and entertaining story, just like the other books by Clare Connelly. Eleanor and Apollo have some fantastic chemistry with each other and make for quite a dynamic pair.

“Claiming His Secret Baby” is the third novel in the “Evermore” series, which was released in the year 2018. Ellie spent a wild weekend filled with passion with Xavier Salbatore, and it broke her impressionable heart. She was deeply in love with him, but then she found out that he was engaged to be married and she ran as fast as she could.

A bad car wreck took a lot from the ruthless Spanish billionaire. With a marriage that failed and the fact that he had cheated on his wife and fathered a child with his mistress, Xavier is just looking to put his life back together the best he can. Even if that means marrying the woman that was hiding their kid from him. A woman that he will never forgive.

Ellie realizes that she has to keep Xavier at arm’s length so that she can avoid getting hurt. She vows she is not going to respond to him, but each night, he wears her defenses away. It leaves her just as lost and powerless to the guy as she ever was.

Some readers found themselves hooked right from the start and just could not put the book down for very long. Elizabeth and Xavier have tons of chemistry, even with all the misunderstandings and drama to be found in the book.

   Hi, just wanted to acknowledge how much I enjoyed ‘Cinderella’s Night in Venice. I have read a number of Clare’s books, but ‘….. Venice’ was absolutely wonderful. All the emotions were captured beautifully, and I confess that I thought the ending would be the first where there was no “happy” ending! Stunning characters and I didn’t want the book to end.
