Clover Springs Mail Order Brides series by Rachel Wesson
Author Rachel Wesson writes the “Clover Springs Mail Order Brides” series of historical romance novels. The series began publication when “Katie” was released in the year 2016.

Clover Springs is a special town where happy endings are always guaranteed. Almost always, anyway! Each stand alone story builds upon the previous story with favorite characters continuing the themes.

Follow the journey of these Irish Ladies that all head to Clover Springs looking to find love and a special happy ever after of their own.

“Katie” is the first novel in the “Clover Springs Mail Order Brides” series and was released in the year 2016. Options are limited for Katie O’Callaghan, an Irish beauty, after she lost her family to the Irish Famine, and shows up in America with Cathy, her younger sister. Rather than provide them with shelter, their uncle provides nothing but abuse and misery for them. She is forced to head west, refusing to just leave Cathy behind and risks a charge of kidnapping on top of it all. In order to get where she is going, she has to marry a stranger.

Daniel Sullivan needs a wife, as the bank insists they will only finance his business if he gets married. What is he to do when the woman that he is interested in is actually promised to another?

“Mary” is the second novel in the “Clover Springs Mail Order Brides” series and was released in the year 2016. Mary Ryan leaves the orphanage and all the heartbreak behind and follows Katie, her friend, to Clover Springs in order to become a mail order bride. She is rather nervous however reminds herself that Davy Sullivan has to be a nice guy otherwise Katie would never have recommended him to her.

Davy is need of a wife, however he isn’t looking for love. That only leads to heartbreak, in his own experience.

Davy and Mary quickly learn that getting married was just the simple part of things. Staying together is tough, particularly when some past secrets are brought to light and threaten to ruin their future. Will they be able to develop trust in each other and find some happiness?

“Sorcha” is the third novel in the “Clover Springs Mail Order Brides” series and was released in the year 2016. The happy future of Sorcha Matthews, age eighteen, is ruined when Luke, her soul mate, is killed tragically before she can get to Clover Springs to unite with him. She runs to Boston rather than face a life filled with terrible abuse.

Brian Peterson, a widower, needs a wife to look in on his two daughters. He has no interest in romance however no self respecting woman would live on his homestead without getting a ring put on her finger. Brian needs a wife, and Sorcha needs a husband. Could this be a match made in heaven? Or could Sorcha be jumping out of the frying pan and into the fire?

“Emer” is the fourth novel in the “Clover Springs Mail Order Brides” series and was released in the year 2016. Life for a young woman all alone in Nineteenth Century Colorado is never easy, however when Emer Matthews has to escape her untenable situation, she’s got only herself to depend on. She’s got no time for guys having seen firsthand the high price that women pay for love, so she looks for solace with the sister that she has never met, Sorcha. However when she arrives in Boston, she learns that her sister has moved to Clover Springs and she has been left alone without money and no way to go back to Colorado.

Lawrence Shipley is pretty bored. He is fed up of his domineering, matchmaker mother. He wants to gain some independence by heading up the Shipley Banking Dynasty back in Denver. However his mom has got some other plans. She decides she will be going to Denver as well, reluctantly agreeing to take Emer, Father Molloy’s recent protege, with her.

Emer isn’t anything like the other women Lawrence has met before. She excites him and intrigues him however it appears as though she will not have anything to do with him. Could he break down the wall that she has built around her heart? Or is her past going to catch up with her and destroy both of them?

“Laura” is the fifth novel in the “Clover Springs Mail Order Brides” series and was released in the year 2016. Laura, who is recently widowed, doesn’t have any plans of tying herself to another guy. She finally is free of the life she picked when she left the orpahange. However when evil catches up with her, she’s left without any option but to go to Clover Springs. Here, her friends are going to provide her with some safety and protection.

Paul Kelley needs to get married. His Ma is in agreement with him however the lady she picked is not the girl for him. He wants a mail order bride, just a fresh and innocent girl just like all the other mail order brides that arrived in town. When Laura shows up with danger on her heels, he marries her for her own protection. Now they will be able to live happily ever after. Except somebody from her past has other plans.

“Ellen” is the sixth novel in the “Clover Springs Mail Order Brides” series and was released in the year 2016. Coming back from University, Ellen has gotten disenchanted with her career. Leaving her home was not her idea, and she missed Clover Springs, especially one older guy. Could she possibly convince her family that her true vocation was as a mom and wife?

Sam Higgins has been fighting off prejudice his entire life. Suffering from his stammer and an inability to read, it is just his luck the one girl he up and falls in love with is out of his league. What could an educated teacher want with some illiterate ranch hand? His brother is probably right, and his future does lie in the California gold mines.

Father Molloy has returned to Clover Springs with a couple young’uns. They need a home. Who’s going to provide it? Danger strikes. Could Samuel save this woman that he loves and are they going to end up together or is one of them going to be destined to leave Clover Springs forever?
