The Cruise Ship Mysteries series is a wonderful series of Christian fiction and cozy mystery stories. It is written by a renowned American writer named Hope Callaghan. Each book of this series features the lead character in the role of Millie Sanders. She is introduced as a disheartened senior sleuth, who goes on to get her dream job as the assistant cruise director on board the mega cruise ship called Siren of the Seas. Other essential characters depicted in the books by Hope Callaghan include Annette Delacroix, Cat, Ariana, Danielle Kneldon, Gloria, Andy Walker, Captain Armati, Delilah, Roger, Regan Leclerc, Nadia, and several others. In addition to looking after the day to day activities of the cruise ship, Millie Sanders gets involved in solving mysteries on every voyage.

Initially, it is mentioned that Millie’s 35-year-old marriage ends abruptly after her husband leaves her for her hairdresser friend. She spends a few months mourning for her loss and then gets busy with her new job as the assistant director of a mega cruise ship. As the mystery deepens, Millie Sanders’s list of suspects grows bigger. She discovers that some friends of the young couple, who had boarded the ship with them, had reason to kill the victim. This sets into motion more shocking events that finally come to an end when Millie succeeds in catching the culprit.

Another interesting novel of this series is called ‘Deadly Deception’. It was also published in the Kindle format in 2015. The novel opens by mentioning that Millie Sanders has been experiencing smooth sailing onboard the passenger ships as its assistant director. Things begin to change with the arrival of a diva named Ariana Teliar as the ship’s new start attraction and entertainer. To her bad luck, Millie Sanders gets the job of showing Ariana around. During her tour of the cruise ship, Ariana stumbles upon a dead body. When she informs the shocking discovery to the ship’s captain, he asks Millie to be by the side of Ariana 24 hours and protect her from any danger. This seems to be an easy task, but Millie experiences a hard time because Ariana has a knack of disappearing and every time she vanishes, Millie Sanders is forced to chase down the diva. Later, the ship docks near the Mayan rainforest for the passengers to get down and enjoy the serene beauty.

Ariana again disappears and leads Millie and her crew friends on a chase through the Mayan ruins. After wandering in the rainforest for some time, Millie and her group realize that they have been lost. Millie loses her patience and decides to teach the young performer a lesson for life. Just then, she comes across a deadly deception that makes her realize that her life is in danger. She wonders if she will be able to sort through the pieces of evidence and track down the killer before it is too late.

   I have read your Cruise Ship Mystery books in order. I am on “Rendezvous and Revenge “ now. This book has mentioned many times a Mafia family on board previously, and of course a murder occurred. I have no memory of that book. Have I missed one?
