Cynthia Sax is USA bestselling author of Sci-Fi, paranormal erotic romances, and contemporary novels. Her novels have been featured in Real Time With Bill Maher, Star Magazine, and several sensual romance top ten lists. Sax novels are set in a world of romance and magic. Even though most of her alpha main characters may not always tell their women the familiar phrase, “I love you,” they are however willing to do whatever it takes for the women they love. They play hard; they are passionate and love the same women forever. Cynthia is a happily married lady to a loving husband who offers himself for the pains and joys of research while they explore the world together, meeting new people and finding inspiration for her novels in exotic places such as Chicago, Istanbul, and Bali.
He Watches Me
He Watches Me is the first book in The Seen Trilogy by Cynthia Sax. The story introduces, Ann Sampson, a woman with a dirty little secret. Each night, she sneaks into her neighbor’s compound and swims naked in his swimming pool. She does this hoping that the young billionaire watches her nightly erotic aquatics his sexy eyes gleaming with lust.
She soon discovers that this is not pure fantasy. Gabriel Blaine, the young billionaire, has been watching her through his security camera, and now that he is back to Los Angeles, he does not want to stop. He wants to watch Anna’s nude aquatics over and over again. Anna knows that she should not allow him, but she cannot stop herself due to her cravings for attention.
The author did an excellent job in creating a narrative that is hot without the couple having to touch each other. It showcases that actions can create a bond that not even words can form. The characterization is well done. For instance, there is Anna, she is invisible in a way, people seem not to care about her, and they do not even notice her or even touch her. She attempts to keep the situation that way but finds out that she is too lonely until the day she finds someone that genuinely sees her. The reason why she isolates herself from the rest of the world being her dark past that she does not want anyone to know about.
Then there is Gabriel Blaine the young billionaire, possibly a loner as well. He watches Anna swim in his pool and accepts her for who she is. Even though the author does not give many revelations about the young billionaire in this book, but some characters can be derived from him. As the “do not touch” relationship advances, the sexual attractions between Blaine and Anna progress as well. Their sexual encounters are sensual and steamy hot. Blaine understands that Anna loves to be watched during these occasions, and thus he makes sure that Anna feels safe. He sees her beauty and the strong woman in her, and through him, she manages to see herself through his eyes.
Apart from the romance, He Watches Me is also a story of self-discovery. Sax has skillfully developed a great friendship between Camille, a girl at Anna’s workplace. The relationship between Anna and Camille and Blaine forms a part of Anna’s path of self-discovery.
He Touches Me
He Touches Me is the second title in The Seen Trilogy which continues the story of Anna, who wishes to remain invisible thanks to her father’s prison record which follows her wherever she goes. Her survival mechanism leaves her lonely and empty inside. For a couple of weeks now, she has been indulging herself in erotic activities and midnight swims just to relieve her sexual tension and loneliness. Gabriel has been closely watching her, and Anna does not get upset the moment she realizes that the young billionaire has been watching her and on the contrary, this makes her happy. Since they have never actually met, Anna is comfortable with Blaine watching her without having to touch her.
Their relationship continues, building up more sexual tension and advances from being watched by Blaine to being touched as she shreds his control, tempts him and pushes him far beyond his control. It is also revealed in this title that the two characters have trust issues, and this makes Blaine to “tame his horses” to win Anna’s trust.
He Claims Me
He Claims Me is the third and the last book in Seen Trilogy by Cynthia Sax. In this third title, Anna has changed a lot in comparison to the first book. There is less focus on her “invisibility” issues as she gathers strength as she knows that Blaine still cares for her and that he would do anything including fighting for her.
Blaine is still the handsome and mysterious gent that he has been throughout the trilogy. He is good looking and a man of his words. He does not pressure Anna or even says something that would otherwise cause him to apologize to the woman of his dreams. He is patient even though he feels like he cannot wait anymore.
Sax provides a vivid description of places and characters in such a way that the readers will simulate in their minds each description. For instance, is described to have a plain appearance, her breasts are small, and she is not entirely shaved, waxed or even plucked. She is normal, and insecure just like any other woman in love. Anna’s journey has been a long one; she has transformed from that “small moth blended into background” to a fiercely, and protective of those she holds deep in her heart.
There are several sexy moments especially between Blaine and Anna that took them from their healthy relationship. Sometimes they would get head over heels for each other even though none of them would want to admit it. In this third title, Anna has two handsome and charming gentlemen who are way in love with her, first one being the usual billionaire from the first and second installment and the second guy being Michael, her boss at the agency where she works.
The Seen Trilogy is an ideal series for the avid readers of steamy and heavy erotic romance. There are lots of romantic and steamy sex scenes that gradually build up throughout the series.
