The Canadian fantasy novelist D. Levesque is a writer well known for his imaginative and innovative approach to the genre. Understanding perfectly what the reader’s looking for within his work, he ultimately takes them on a journey, really making the most of the format. Understanding what it could offer as a medium, he would immerse himself heavily in the world of online gaming during its early stages.

This fascination of his would come to inform his love of fiction in great detail, as he would turn to the written word. Passionate about books such as the Lord of the Rings series as a young child, he would combine his interest in gaming and fantasy. Currently writing to this very day, he continues to focus on the GameLit and LitRPG genres, finding new fans from all around the world constantly.

Writing Career

Starting out back in 2020, D. Levesque would begin his fantasy writing career with the novel ‘The Broken Battlemage.’ This book would also be the first in ‘Doomsday System’ series of novels, and Levesque would go on to write a number of other series the following year in 2021. Many of these would also be based around fantasy worlds set in virtual-reality environments and gaming simulations.

He’s also published numerous books alongside other fellow fantasy authors in the GameLit genre too, including Sain Artwell and Stephen L. Hadley to name just a few. Finding fans from all over the world, he maintains a presence both online as well as off. Gaining a lot of acclaim from both fans and critics worldwide, he’s an author who will carry on growing from strength-to-strength.

Originally released in 2021, this would first come out on the 14th of May, with it being initially published on the Kindle platform. It’s best that this series is read in order, as it’s an ongoing saga that requires the complete picture when it comes to enjoying the story. Making up the fourth and final entry into the ‘Silver Magi’ series though, it completes the saga with everything that fans of the franchise could hope for and expect. All of the loose ends are tied up here, giving everyone’s arcs a sense of finality as they’re all concluded together once and for all.

With the Organization creating powerful monsters, Brandon and his wives must deal with them once and for all. One of Brandon’s most powerful wives is Jelina, and she’s a Wearbear who’s about to show everyone why she’s a force to be reckoned with. As they all face Wild Magic, the Void, and whole host of monsters, Brandon and his family must face one of their greatest challenges yet. Will they all be able to succeed, can they manage to survive this ordeal, and what will become of the Silver Magi?

Set within a virtual world once more, this makes the most of the GameLit genre again, really giving it an exciting and compelling spin. Taking the reader on a huge and expansive journey, this works on several different levels throughout, allowing the audience to fully immerse themselves within it all. Entertaining and compelling in equal measure, it’s a well written and exciting novel for fans of the author and of the genre as a whole.

God’s Choice

First published in 2021 on the 1st of February, this book would come out through the Kindle publishing platform. Setting up the fifth book in the ‘Sigma Worlds’ series of books, this would continue on from where the previous titles left off. With an omnibus edition of the series released too, it’s best that they’re all read in order so as to get the most out of them and their story. It’s a fun book with plenty of interesting themes and ideas, while never forgetting to entertain and enthral the reader first and foremost.

Learning that there’s more to the Cosmos than he first thought, Jason discovers information that may change life completely on Earth. Returning to Destiny and the Silver Lake, he realizes that the world is maybe not so small after all, as he must take the battle to the gods. Set within a game pod, the video-game is taking Jason on a journey quite unlike any other, as he must fight to save everything he loves and cares for. Will he manage to find his way through this world, can he hope to restore order, and what will become of God’s choice?
