Daniel Palmer is one of the critically acclaimed authors of America who is popular for writing successful novels based on the mystery, thriller, suspense, and crime genres. He is particularly well known for writing 4 highly successful novels in his writing career. Daniel was born on May 29, 1962 as Daniel James Palmer in Boston, Massachusetts, United States. His father, Michael Parmer is himself a well known novelist and a New York Times Bestselling author. Daniel is currently married and lives in New Hampshire along with his wife and a couple of children. Before following his father’s footsteps and going on to become a full time author, Daniel completed his graduation from the Boston University with a major in the subject of political science. After that, he also completed his Master of Arts degree from the same university in the subject of Mass Communication. Initially, Daniel was interested in pursuing a career in the field of technology, but he gave it up after the disruption of the dotcom wave. Then he decided to try his hand at writing novels after the suggestion of his father. He began writing anything that came to his mind and produced it in the form of short stories. The other novels that followed were influenced from his technology background, which he incorporated into the thriller plots and themes of his novels. One of the initial novels written by author Daniel in the form of techno-thrillers, was published as Delirious. This novel is based on the life of an electronic expert named Charlie and features his downfall after his GPS invention helps to unravel the trail of a murder.
The other novels written by Daniel that followed in the subsequent years also attempted to create and expose the dangers hidden in the popular modern-day technology. Besides writing the technological thrillers, author Daniel has also written a couple of short stories in collaboration with his father, both of which were published by the International Thriller Writers publishing house. The first novel among the two was edited by James Patterson while the other was edited by Lee Child. Daniel has also finished writing one more novel along with his father, which is going to be published soon. Other than writing successful novels, Daniel Palmer is also very well trained to play the guitar. He has also performed with his guitar at a number of clubs in Boston. He has even worked with a number of musical bands all over Boston. He has recorded a couple of albums which have been produced by the Velvet Elk Studios’ Don DiLego. The unique music style of Daniel is influenced by both the classic rock, traditional music and the Americana style of music. One of the songs of Daniel has been licensed for commercial use by a retail clothier named J. Crew. Apart from his interests in writing and music, Daniel is a die hard fan of the Red Sox baseball team. He is often seen taking active part in the Home Base program held by the Red Sox team management. By doing so, Daniel tries to help in the cause of raising money for the veterans who seem to be suffering from PTSD.
One of the initial novels written by author Daniel Palmer was titled ‘Delirious’. It was published in the year 2011 by the Kensington publishing house. The plot of this novel revolves around the happenings in the life of the main character named Charlie Giles. In the opening sequence of the plot of the novel, Charlie Giles is introduced as the inventor of a new and effective digital entertainment system for the automobiles. But, he seems to be shocked and stunned when his life falls into pieces abruptly, after a little while. Charlie carries out a nearly self-destructive stunt during a high level meeting of his company, due to which he gets humiliated in front of all the public. Surprisingly, he claims that he was set up by one of his colleagues who apparently did not exist. Shortly after, the company fired him after carrying out an audit on his performance, revealing that he used to access several pornographic websites from his office computer. But, Charlie Giles says that he has not done anything like that even though all the evidences proved him to be guilty. Eventually, he begins to think as if he losing his mind and in order to overcome his fear by some useful advice, he turns brother named Joe Giles. Joe seems to be suffering from Schizophrenia. However, the former colleagues of Charlie Giles begin to get murdered one after the other. This makes him realize that whatever is happening in his life is not happening inside his head entirely. Charlie seems very much sure that there is a different angle to this situation, which he is not being able to see.
One of the other novels written by author Daniel Palmer was titled ‘Stolen’. It was released by the Kensington publishing house in the year 2013. The plot of this novel deals with the consequences of a bad decision made by a good man and revolves around the lives of the main characters Ruby Dawes and John Bodine. In the opening sequence of the plot of the novel, John and Ruby are introduced as couples who always seem to face trouble in their lives. As the online gaming business of John grows more and Ruby goes on to pursue her dream career, they plan to have a baby. Soon, Ruby gets diagnosed with a deadly disease and her insurance was not sufficient enough to cover all the expenses of the treatment. As the time goes by, John becomes very much desperate and steals the identity of a customer in order to file a false claim for the medication of Ruby. Because of this risky step, Ruby gets treated well and everything seems to be going well when the original customer comes to know about the fraud. He contacts John and gives him a startling proposal. He asks him and Ruby to play a game with him, which he himself has devised, for not letting their fraud come out in open. As per the game, he makes them indulge in real crimes and if they fail in any of them, they will be made to face some serious consequences.
