Kwon for Electric Literature to be one of the top books that should be read for the year authored by women of color and by Adam Vitcavage as one of the debuts that readers can look forward to in 2021’s first half. Dantiel has received the Alice Hoffman Prize for Fiction. She has also had the honor of the Key West Literary Seminars awarding her a Cecilia Joyce Johnson Emerging Writer Award. Dantiel has also had the fortune of being awarded a Tin House Scholarship. She has also had her fictional work be featured in a variety of publications. These include McSweeney’s Quarterly Concern, The Yale Review, The Paris Review, Ploughshares, One Story, and Tin House.
