Dantiel has received the Alice Hoffman Prize for Fiction. She has also had the honor of the Key West Literary Seminars awarding her a Cecilia Joyce Johnson Emerging Writer Award. Dantiel has also had the fortune of being awarded a Tin House Scholarship. She has also had her fictional work be featured in a variety of publications. These include McSweeney’s Quarterly Concern, The Yale Review, The Paris Review, Ploughshares, One Story, and Tin House.
