David Archer is an Amazon number one and USA Today bestselling author best known for writing a series of very popular mystery thrillers such as the Noah Wolf and the Sam Prichard series. Archer was born in Bakersfield, California, where he spent much of his childhood with his missionary family. David’s approach in the writing of his novels is to hit deep and keep the readers entertained, craving more with every flip of the page. The novels are a combination of suspense, thrillers, and mysteries made to get the heart pumping. Writing takes up most of his days as he has a habit of doing at least three thousand words a day. When he is not yelling at his screen while pounding out his next bestseller, you may find him building custom cars, writing poetry or creating music. Archer is not your usual writer and claims that his novels write themselves given that he never sets out a plot or makes plan in what his characters will be getting up to. It seems to be working great for him given that his Noah Wolf and Sam Prichard series of novels are some of the most popular suspense thrillers out there.
The Sam Prichard series features the lead character, a retired police officer turned private investigator Sam Prichard. Prichard is a cross between James Bond and Jack Reacher, who is ready to take up any case and never gives up until its resolution. Unlike your typical secret agent, Prichard does not have the advantage of special training but rather depends on his spirit rather than specialized intelligence or military training. The Sam Prichard series of novels was born of the need for a character that would tackle some of the most complex of cases and never give up until they got to the truth. While the mystery suspense thriller genre has many such characters, Prichard is a different type of character as he does not think of himself as superman but rather a good man who cannot help but be involved in events and happenings that have the potential to change his world. Prichard is a retired cop rather than an active one, which gives him police skills but also more proactive license than that, offered to an active one. Moreover, given the many restrictions and rule-books of the organized police force, the lead can act on his conscience without having to worry of consequences or becoming a black sheep. With the tendency to view police officers as overly authoritarian or corrupt, the fact that Sam comes from outside the organized force makes him a more personable character. With no restrictions on associations, Sam can also freely associate with less savory characters such as the young independent hacker through whom he can get insight and information, that he would otherwise not get had he been a regular policeman.
The series of novels incorporate all the elements you would expect to find in a good mystery including suspense, thrills, and just a dash of romance. In the first novel in the series, we are introduced to Sam Prichard a former police officer who stumbles into a private investigator job to find that he can actually be very good at it. David Archer shows real talent in writing a very realistic story with multidimensional characters that develop over the course of the novels. What makes these novels so personable is that as well as telling intriguing mysteries they provide interesting stories on the backgrounds of the characters that create a connection with the reader. Sam Prichard the lead character in the series appears in every novel together with a fascinating slew of recurring characters. Nonetheless, given the different plot lines in each novel, the novels may be read as standalones. David Archer writes novels full of twists and turns with suspenseful cliffhangers that he uses to draw in the reader before resolving them right at the very end. The lead character Sam is a very good PI – a seasoned cop who grows over the course of the novel series to fall in love and become one of the best private investigators in town.
“The Grave Man”, the first novel in the Sam Prichard series is a captivating novel that introduces the lead character Sam Prichard. Sam is an ex-cop that was forced to retire from the force after he took a bullet at the hip that made it impossible for him to continue serving as a police officer. Now trying to adapt to life as a civilian, learning to ride a motorcycle, and walk again, he finds life barely bearable. Given his expertise, the community turns to him to help find a missing child, which proves a lure too hard to resist. He teams up with Indiana Perkins a computer whizz and working with her, he soon becomes one of the most efficient private investigators his district has ever known. He tracks and retrieves the lost child, but he is now embroiled in a bigger case that may just turn out to be a drug war. Prichard has no way out of his predicament other than to fight and resolve it if he is to save his own life and that of the computer whizz he has recently become so fond of. Throwing the rule-book out of the window, he is ready to do all in his power to come out on top and ensure the safety of the people he cherishes.
“Death Sung Softly” is the second enthralling novel in the Sam Prichard series of novels. After his success in the first novel, Sam sets up his own office as a private investigator and immediately gets his first case. A local rock singer named Barry Wallace that was on the verge of breaking out has gone missing to turn up dead without his limbs. It is now up to Sam to try to find the killer and unravel the mystery of Barry’s murder. Conducting a series of investigations, the evidence points to a well-known talent agent, and a search of estate unearths a shocking discovery. Barry is just one of the men that had nothing to gain from Barry’s death. Things get even more interesting when the agent hires Sam to prove his innocence. He now follows a convoluted set of clues trying to determine just who could be responsible for killing the budding artist. Meanwhile he has been convinced into replacing Barry as the new lead singer in his former band. Now juggling two new careers will he sing his heart out or will he find a vicious killer?

I am your biggest Noah Wolf fan. You must write all the time. I want to write a book about my life and career but I don’t know where Or how to start. Any thoughts?
I was wondering if any of the Noah wolf books after # 11 will ever be out on paperback. I do not have Kindle nor do I wish to purchase it. Any possibility some of these books are out on large print?
Thanks for any consideration.
We have been reading the series of Peter Black and my wife listens to them on Audible. She can no longer read, but loves to listen. Can you please tell us why the last book, Killer Hunter is not available on Audible. What a disappointment to not be able to finish the series
