David Beers is an American author of fiction. He became a published author with the release of his 2012 novel, Dead Religion. He is the author of the Singularity series as well as the Nemesis series.

He was born in Athens. Beers says that he used to deliver pizzas and was pretty good at it. He asked his boss what he was going to do after college, thinking that everyone was going to go out and conquer pretty much the world after graduating. That was the goal, and this guy looked at him and told him he was a writer.

Those words from his boss actually changed his life. Beers says that he had always written and wrote because it was something he enjoyed that came naturally. He never really thought that writing could be your career of choice though until his pizza coworker (The Pizza Sage) said that sentence to him– ‘I’m a writer man’.

Inspired by this, Beers went home immediately and wrote a short story. He brought it to his boss to review, who had a slightly less high opinion of its worth than Beers did. Having tenaciousness and persistence, however, Beers kept on and started actively practicing writing.

Slowly but surely, he got better, and for the next 7 years Beers was writing nearly every day. His first novel even got started and he got it to up to forty thousand words before throwing it away. Then he started another novel, this time getting it up to past a hundred thousands words. This one he did not toss, but it was rejected many a time by literary agents.

Beers kept writing and wrote another book that he got to around fifty thousand words. He showed it to some friends in his circle before shelving it, following it up with Dead Religion– the only true reason why Beers says he has an author page on Amazon.

He has a few short stories published as well, some that paid and some that didn’t! His story Effects May Vary did win a reader’s award. He is currently getting his Masters degree in Business at the University of Georgia.

David Beers is the creator and writer of the fictional Devil’s Dream series. The series kicked off in 2014 with the publication of the debut novel of the same name as the series (The Devil’s Dream). Beers then quickly followed it up with the release of the sequel, which is titled A Nightmare. Waking Up is the third book in the series, making it a trilogy.

The Devil’s Dream is the debut novel in the Devil’s Dream series by author David Beers. In this debut novel we get to meet Matthew Brand. Brand was always smart– maybe even the most intelligent person on the planet. He had changed the world on his own by the age of 25 and is still doing so mid-way into his thirties.

One day everything changes, however, when his son is brutally shot on the street by a few cops. The man’s life changed forever at that moment and his focus moved from making life better on the planet to doing everything within his power to bring his son back to life. If anyone can do it and find a way, Brand knows that it is him.

Matt is determined to overcome the powers of death and find power over the mysteries of death. He was committed to trying to bring the dead back to life– the only trouble is that he needs some living bodies in order to do it. Well, he can think of no better candidates to use than the same people that killed his son.

This is going to be a strange case and the FBI is starting to become aware of Brand’s activities. Matt Brand soon finds himself in a race against time and outside forces. The FBI is determined to rein Brand in. The only trouble is, how do you get ahead of a man when he is able to think twelve steps ahead of you and stack all of the odds to be in his favor?

As an epic manhunt starts up, Matt has to work quickly if he wants to resurrect his son. Can the mad scientist bring his child back to life, or is he messing with forces and laws of nature that simply should not be tested– for good reason? You are going to have to check out this gripping debut novel in the Devil’s Dream series to find out what happens from start to finish!

A Nightmare is the second novel in David Beers’ Devil’s Dream series. Matthew Brand is back, and he is just refusing to lay down and die. It’s been a crazy ride and now a woman and her daughter have gone missing. They were involved Brand’s spree of terror and now they’re gone.

The FBI thinks that it may be possible that Brand has gotten out from The Wall for the second time and is using someone else’s body. They look into this and start to find that their hunches may be correct– Brand has stolen another body from someone in prison and is out and about once more.

Brand does not truly care whether he lives or dies, but he knows that if he is going down then he is going full scorched earth policy. If the world is going to try to take Brand down, then they’re going to come along for the ride– whether they want to or not. Inspired, this scientist is going to create a master apocalypse that will take everyone out, leaving no survivors.

Matthew Brand communicates this to the FBI and the world, letting them know of his plan to make the world burn. If anyone can come up with a scheme like this and pull it off, it’s Brand. He’s already taken the states on one wild ride four years ago– what will he do this time?

Brand is coming up with his most devious plan yet. With the FBI tailing him once more, can they get to him before Brand gets to the world first? Read this sequel in the series by David Beers to find out!
