One of the best performing books by Dean Crawford is Old Ironsides. Several years after more than a quarter of the human population had fallen victim to an exceedingly savage plague, an unexpected enemy has risen and is threatening human existence once more. The population that is divided among the individuals who are still human and those who are dead and alive at the same time. What it means to be very human has been long forgotten. The author, Dean Crawford introduces the readers to the protagonist. Nathan Ironside is a man who has been encased in cryostasis for more than three hundred years. His connection with past events will not only save the world but the entire human race that survived the plague.

However, the man must be able to stay long enough to ensure that he saves humankind. Enemies pursue Nathan’s from all sides. His only mission is to stay alive, because if he fails to survive, then no one else is going to survive. With that said, all the characters in Old Ironsides are exceedingly compelling. The author, Dean Crawford has done an excellent job of creating an exceedingly wonderful world together with an exceedingly exciting plot that will not only keep you entertained but also engaged as well. Despite the fact that Old Ironsides has been set in the future, the book still manages to take off. Dean Crawford’s descriptions of the various places in the future have been described exceedingly well, that you can feel as if you are there.

The story is exceedingly fantastic and does not lack adventure. It is also full of twists and turns as well. The second book in the Old Ironsides book series is Titan. In this book, Nathan Ironside is surviving in a world that is not only strange but also dangerous as well. Nathan is assigned to a case that involves a former prison warden who had been imprisoned for homicide. The former prison warded is being held at a hellish prison known as Tethys Goal that is orbiting planet Saturn. While trying to hide whatever he is feeling deep inside, Detective Nathaniel decides to look into the warden’s claim of innocence carefully. It does not take long before he finds himself in the middle of a huge conspiracy. Furthermore, he also finds himself trapped in one of the most feared prisons in the universe.

Nathaniel faces much more danger than he had expected. Trapped inside the gaol, the p[protagonist must ensure that he survives one of the most intense prison riots in the history of the universe and also solve the case. Nathaniel must do all this while hoping that his partner, Lieutenant Foxx, will be able to successfully evade the killing machine and eventually come to Nathaniel’s rescue. With that said, Titan has been written with exceedingly short paragraphs thus making this installment a quick and light read. Covenant is the first book in the Ethan Walker book series. In Covenant, the author, Dean Crawford introduces the readers to Dr. Lucy Morgan, an American paleontologist who is currently working in one of the most dangerous locations in the desserts of Israel. While working on the dessert, Dr. Lucy discovers an ancient tomb, which had remained hidden for more than 7,000 years. However, immediately after making the discovery, Dr. Lucy disappears without a trace.

The plot takes the reader to Chicago, where a young man who is known as Ethan Warner has just been released from prison. Ethan had been sent to prison after he had been involved in a fight. Initially, Ethan had served in the Marines before he became a journalist. His former commanding officer describes Nathan as a person who possesses the special skills for successfully executing a successful mission. Ethan’s commanding officer now works for a black ops organization known as DIA (the Defense Intelligence Agency). Lucy Morgan happens to be the granddaughter of Ethan’s former commanding officer. The former commanding officer wants Ethan to head to Israel so that he can locate Lucy. This is mainly because, Ethan had worked in Israel before when he was still a journalist. Thus, he not only has contacts in the area but also history with the area.

After some of the high-ranking officers who work for the DIA brief Ethan, Lucy’s mother, Rachel Morgan to Israel, accompanies Ethan. This multi-layered narrative than takes the readers to Washington DC, where Nicola Lopez and Lucas Tyrell, two Metropolitan police detectives are called to one of the abandoned houses within the slum. The abandoned house has aroused attention due to the unpleasant smell that was emanating from it. Upon forcing themselves into the house, the two detectives discover that there were three naked bodies, which were beginning to decompose. The two also find evidence of a drug paraphernalia, just next to the bodies. This, in turn, indicated that the house was nothing other than a drug den.

However, Tyrell notices that one of the victims had great teeth, which is exceedingly strange for the addicts. However, there is also evidence of frostbite on the victim’s fingers. The frostbite was exceedingly weird because of the ambient day temperatures. The author then takes the readers to the New Covenant Church where one of the pastors is completely adamant that according to the viewpoint of the fundamentalists that the world is less than 10,000 years old. Furthermore, the Bible is the literal truth of the earth’s earliest history. Isiah Black, the United States senator, is one the evangelist’s closest friends and he is more than determined to become the president of the United States. The support of the pastor’s congregation is exceedingly important to the senator. However, the senator is completely suspicious about the pastor’s involvement with an exceedingly large security firm that is known as Mace.
