Debra Dier is an American author of fiction. She hails from Niagara Falls in New York. She writes short stories and romance novels.

She always liked the idea of doing something creative for a career. However, some of her family members convinced her into doing something practical and they meant well. Debra pursued management of information systems and got her degree in it. As a result, she went down a career route that involved designing computers and writing code. It was creative, just now what she had in mind.

As she continued to get on the fast track, she was a manager of analysts and programmers at a corporation when she was still fairly young. She tried something else besides writing for computer and came up with her first novel and decided that she wanted to write full time instead of follow her current path.

Debra Dier first became a published author with the 2013 release of her novel Surrender the Dream. She says that she first saw rumors of her possible demise mentioned by a reader online in a review and chills went down her spine.

Even though the reader thought that Dier had passed away because she had not released any new books in a few years, Debra assures her readers that she is not dead but has instead been engaged in being a mother and the many responsibilities that it brings.

She says that while other authors do keep writing books while raising children, dealing with the passing of her mother while finishing the last book of her contract had a way of taking her out of writing for a while. Instead, Debra put her energy into volunteering. That break from writing lasted a total of twelve years, during which time she was inspired by a gift from a friend that was also waiting for her to write her next book.

Debra went back to her office and decided to sit back down at the computer and write again. She composed what would be the debut novel in a fantasy series for adults and older teens. While working on her new series, she got the rights to all of her novels that had been put out previously. Then a publisher in New York contacted her the next day, wanting to buy the rights to them and publish them immediately.

She was tempted by the offer, but wanted to look at the books and see if there were anything that she could do differently. After all, she was the type of writer that would endlessly edit and revise if she could. As the debut novel took her just 8 months to write, Beyond Forever was worked over again and essentially became a new book, titled A Twist of Fate.

Debra Dier is the author of Devil’s Honor, the first book in the Marlow series. The book contains revisions to the original plot as well as characters but keeps the spirit and main point of the previous story. If you love romance novels then you are sure to love this thrilling tale set in England during the Regency period. But even though he seems handsome on the exterior, mothers who are looking for a good match for their daughters hide them whenever he is around, calling him the devil because of his arrogance and his tendencies toward debauchery.

Even though he is handsome, there are many scars beneath that skin and his boldness. Meanwhile, a woman named Isabel needs to get her guardian to provide for her younger sisters. she finds that they have not been appointed the right guardian. She wants Justin to be the guardian.

Isabel has put the challenge out there, but will he be able to rise to it? Her spirit and her beauty are starting to have an effect on him that he cannot deny. As they take on an old mystery and look to find the people that may have killed her brother and father, Justin may realize that he has to prove that he is worth the honor of having this wonderful woman save his soul.
