Diana Dempsey is a renowned author who has written a number of inspiring books. Her novels revolve around romantic fiction and have captivated many readers. She was born in Buffalo New York. It was in the same place that Diana was raised and stayed with her family members. As a young girl, Dian attended schools near her home in Buffalo New York. After wards, she went to Harvard University where she graduated with a Bachelor’s degree.

After graduating, Diana worked in various Televisions stations. Her first job was being a broadcaster and CNBC where she anchored Financial News Network. In fact, she worked for over 12 years in popular media houses including NBC News and KTTV/Fox11. At NBC News she reported from New York, Burbank, and Tokyo. When she was not reporting, Diana anchored Today, Sunrise and NBC Nightly News. At KTTV/Fox 11 in Los Angeles, Diana worked as a morning anchor for the news. This made Diana one of the most experienced and respected TV celebrity in the United States of America.

After quitting the broadcasting career, Diana Dempsey decided to venture into writing. Up to date, she has written a number of books about fun romantic fiction. After enjoying her stay in various parts of the world including Japan and Belgium, Diana has finally settled in San Francisco where she lives with her husband.

Awards

Diana’s style of writing has captivated many readers, which has earned her some awards. Her first novel “Falling Star” won the RITA award for the Best First Book by a member of Romance Writers of America.

Her early two books

Diana Dempsey wrote the first and the second book in 2002 and 2003 respectively. Her first novel is FALLING STAR while the second one is called TO CATCH THE MOON.

FALLING STAR: This novel revolves around a woman called Natalie Daniels. Natalie is at the peak of her 20-year career as a news anchor in a very competitive Los Angeles Television. However, her career is under threat by Tony Scorpio-a news director for the station where Natalie Works. Tony Scorpio wants to replace Natalie with Kelly Devlin. The aim of Tony Scorpio is to cut the costs and boosts his rating at the station. Therefore, he wants a cheaper Devlin to replace Natalie. However, Kelly Devlin lacks ethics for work.

At this point, Natalie fights to maintain her hard-won job. She even goes to the extent of making an on-air gaffe to attack Tony Scorpio. Her professional woes mount as Natalie unravels marriage plans to Miles Lambert as sitcom producer. This prompts her husband to reveal heartless plans to betray her.

Natalie must look back at her life and find out how to glue to back her tattered life. However, Natalie efforts to correct her past mistakes are distracted by the TV-news agent, Geoff Marner. There is a blossoming relationship with Marner. Unfortunately, Geoff Marner is engaged to another woman.

Natalie might be in alone and in her forties, but she is determined to fight with all her energy. Victory comes when she least expect it. Natalie life is back on track again, and her star rises again.

TO CATCH THE MOON: in this novel we meet a Deputy District Attorney called Alicia Maldonado. Alicia grew up on the other side of California’s Monterey Peninsula where it was preserved for the poor. She grew up in a dusty inland Salinas that is a home to day laborers and farm workers. However, this does not deter Alicia from achieved her dreams. She struggled to provide for her mother and siblings after her father died. She manages to educate herself in the college and law school, and now she is working in the world of criminal prosecution.

One a chilly night on December, a timber millionaire, Daniel Gaines is found dead. Gaines was campaigning to become the California governor before death robbed him. The evidence points out the killer as an environmental extremist in that region. However, Alicia does not agree with these speculations. She is obsessed with the idea that Gaines’ wife murdered her husband. Gaines’ wife was the only child of the former California governor.

Alicia continues to do the investigations, but clashes with the Milo Pappas who is a Greek Ambassador’s son and a journalist. Milo is determined to prove that Gaines’ Widow is innocent. On the other hand, Alicia is working hard to prove Gaines’ wife guilty.

The prosecutor and journalist scramble to uncover the truth about Gaines murder. Alicia and Milo are sharply opposing each other. At this point, Alicia is forced to re-examine the case and her true motivation. Is it justice or a noble pursuit or a dishonorable resentment of the privilege people who lived on the wealthier side peninsula? Only an honest answer will set Alicia free from this lifelong grudge that has put an iron-grip on her ambitions.

The victim is an author who is being targeted by a psychopath. Falling in love with her, could damage the reputation the Gardner has built for a long time.
