Tom Clancy’s Op Center series is the series in which Dick Couch has co-authored a couple of books. One of those books is entitled ‘Out of the Ashes’. It was published in 2014 by the Griffin publication. At the start of this novel, it is shown that America was guarded by a dedicated covert force before 9/11, which was commonly referred to as the Op-Center. This agency had the responsibility of protecting the people of America and guarding them from the enemies. It was a top secret force and its director, Paul Hood, reported to the president directly. The Op-Center employed undercover operatives with special capabilities for diffusing the crisis situations all over the world. They were considered highly efficient in their work. However, following the great disaster of 9/11, the Op-Center was shut down, which left the country in a terrible danger. Then, the terrorists began detonating bombs in stadiums all around the nation, killing innocent people. This forces the president to pass an emergency order to start Op-Center once again. The first mission that it is asked to deal with after getting reinstated is the growing tension in Middle East. They come to know that a Saudi Prince is planning to control the oil supply of the world and manipulate America to attack Iran and Syria. The next move of their deadly plan is to ignite the sleeper cells in the American homeland to start attacking and cause a terrible bloodbath. Now, the men and women in the Op-Center decide to use their sophisticated technology to deal with such a situation. However, first they have to make the frightened Americans believe that they are capable of dealing with the situation at hand and preventing the disaster. They have gained their faith and only then they can proceed further into the mission. The courageous agents of Op-Center become ready to face the most difficult mission of their lives ever.

Another book written by Couch in the series is titled ‘Into the Fire’. The Griffin publishers released this book also in 2015. At the beginning of the book, it is depicted that an assassins’ team murder a high ranked general along with his family in North Korea during their sleep. Due to this, the balance of the world powers faces a threat. Shortly after, the forces of North Korea attack a combat ship of US near the shores of South Korea. In order to avoid getting captured, the Commander is forced to undergo grounding. All the crew members reach a nearby island and take refuge. However, they are still surrounded by the soldiers from North Korea on all sides. Later, the intelligence team of Op-Center comes to know about a secret alliance between North Korea and China at the hands of which the attack was carried out. As per the pact between the two nations, China was guaranteed total control over the oil reserves in Yellow Sea. During such a hostile situation, Op-Center’s head Chase Williams devises a plan to rescue the ship’s crew from North Korea’s control. When they become aware of this plan, they put on a terrorist cell in America. Now, Op-Center faces another challenge of finding the roots of the terrorist cell and preventing a large destruction on the American soil.
